Your Role and Responsibilities

The Delivery Project Executive (DPE) is a leadership position responsible for the services strategy within a major part of the Finance BPO Delivery organization. Responsibilities for this position include development and implementation of business strategies with executive review.

  • The DPE is the main contact of the client for the account.
  • They ensure client needs are satisfied by building partnerships between the Practice, Center, clients, vendors, and subcontractor organizations, and managing the implementation of these partnerships to ensure positive customer satisfaction.
  • They build client satisfaction by having deep expertise driving business outcomes beyond delivering requirements as specified in the contract or Statement of Work (SOW).
  • They provide account leadership to the service delivery team and direct teams to develop program, project, product, business strategies, and implementing resulting solutions to meet contract deliverables.
  • They manage contractual cost, schedule, and service or product deliverables as they relate to the delivery organization.
  • They manage IBM resources and coordinate client resources to deliver services and solutions to support the client organization.
  • They support the Project Executive (PE) in identifying growth opportunities and contract profitability.
  • They own quality for service provided by the delivery organization and is are responsible for tracking and reporting on service level performance.
  • Project Management methodologies, emerging technologies and technical solutions pertaining to client needs should be areas of expertise.
  • The DPE Influences the functional strategy.

Key Skills

  • Environment: Professional knowledge of Finance BPO environment at least 10-15 years. Experience managing cross functional processes in a scale of at least 350 FTEs ideally with cross delivery location experience as well as supporting multi region stakeholders.
  • Commercial and Profitability: P&L responsibility. Responsible to be able to deliver to MSA/ SOW and make necessary amendments and work with client to ensure overall profitability of the account. Ensure no scope creep and management of program. As part of contracts, ensure productivity commitments are met.
  • Communication/Negotiation: Solid client management and negotiation skills. Ability to handle escalations and communications with VP/ C-suite and approaches to conclude negotiations with client stakeholders, various partners, resulting in common agreements.
  • Problem Solving: Analyze complex/new situations, anticipate potential problems and future trends, assess opportunities, impacts, and risks. Develop and implement solutions.
  • Contribution/Leadership: Leads multi-functional. Has vision of functional or unit mission. Influences people and organizations, including executive management, when issues are complex/difficult and require considerable diplomacy. Considerable latitude in responsibilities to define and decide on tools, processes, priorities and resources following general business unit directives. Recognized as an expert in their field (Finance). Often no precedent exists.
  • Impact on Business/Scope: Accountable for projects or programs involving multi- functional, country-wide or regional teams. Responsible for overall functional program success. Activities are subject to business measurements, impact customer satisfaction, and impact functional, business unit, or country costs or expenses.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise
A minimum of 15 Years experience in the following field:
  • Commercial Finance BPO Delivery
  • Capability Management (Center Leader role)
  • People Management (includes Engagement, Succession)
  • Stakeholder Management and Client Facing

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise

  • Strong communication and meeting facilitation skills
  • Strong business operations knowledge
  • Good leadership skills
  • Experience managing in a multi-client environment
