Your role and responsibilities

As a Delivery Consultant, you will collaborate with IBM clients and partners to design, implement, and optimize IBM Technology solutions that align with their business objectives. In this role, you will apply your technical expertise to ensure world-class solution delivery while leveraging consultative skills such as problem-solving, hypothesis-based methodologies, communication, and service orientation.

As a member of IBM Technology Expert Labs-a team that is client-focused, courageous, pragmatic, and highly technical-you will work alongside clients to develop innovative solutions that address real business challenges.

If you are passionate about driving success in both your career and your clients' businesses, this role is for you. A typical day in this role may include:

  • Effectively Solving Client Challenges - Understanding clients' key challenges and delivering solutions that provide tangible business value through design, development, integration, implementation, migration, and product support.
  • Agile Planning and Execution - Creating and executing agile project plans, managing installation, provisioning, testing, production migration, and post-implementation support.
  • Leading Technical Solution Workshops - Conducting and participating in technical discussions to drive solution adoption.
  • Building Strong Relationships - Engaging effectively with stakeholders at all levels, from engineers to CxOs, and navigating complex discussions to achieve optimal resolutions.
  • Exhibiting Self-Motivation and Problem-Solving Skills - Taking initiative, demonstrating curiosity, and proactively identifying solutions using data and collaboration.
  • Collaboration and Communication - Working seamlessly across client, partner, and IBM teams to drive project success.

Required technical and professional expertise

  • Act as a trusted advisor for clients in the Business Automation domain.
  • Ensure the successful execution and on-time delivery of assigned projects.
  • Work effectively both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Serve as a hands-on delivery consultant, responsible for installation, configuration, and troubleshooting (including performance optimization, third-party integrations, and security enhancements).
  • Design, develop, and deploy solutions based on customer-specific requirements.

System Administration

  • Install, configure, and manage IBM Content Manager OnDemand (CMOD) software.
  • Administer user access, security settings, and permissions to ensure system integrity.

Maintenance and Upgrades

  • Perform routine system maintenance, including backups, patches, and system updates.
  • Plan and implement upgrades to newer IBM CMOD versions while ensuring minimal disruption.

User Support

  • Provide technical assistance and troubleshoot issues related to IBM CMOD.
  • Conduct user training sessions to enhance adoption and usability.

Monitoring and Reporting

  • Implement monitoring tools to track system health, performance, and stability.
  • Generate detailed reports on system usage, key performance metrics, and operational insights.

Preferred technical and professional experience

  • Familiarity with software development life cycle (SDLC) processes, tools, and methodologies.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
  • Creative approach to innovation and issue resolution.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate proactively in a cross-functional team.
