Introduction
We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Business Development Leader to drive IT services sales and business development across clients in Industrial Manufacturing (Automotive, Aerospace, Industrial Products, etc. and related Industries). The ideal candidate will have experience in opening new accounts, managing client relationships, and delivering technology solutions across various industries. Existing network and relationships with Industrial Manufacturing clients will be preferable. This role requires a deep understanding of Application Management Services (AMS) and Cloud-native Application Development across different technologies and experience in at least one Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system.

Your role and responsibilities
- Sales & Business Development: Identify, engage, and secure new business opportunities by developing strategic relationships with potential clients.
- Account Management: Establish and maintain strong client relationships to ensure long-term business growth and customer satisfaction.
- IT Services Expertise: Promote and sell IT services, with a focus on Application Management Services (AMS), Cloud-native Application Development and ERP solutions across multiple technologies.
- Consultative Selling: Understand customer needs and provide tailored IT solutions to drive business value.
- Collaboration: Work closely with delivery teams to ensure successful project execution and client satisfaction.
- Market Research: Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitive landscape to identify new business opportunities.
- Proposal & Contract Negotiation: Lead end-to-end sales cycles, including preparing proposals, negotiating contracts, and closing deals.

Required education
Bachelor's Degree
Required technical and professional expertise
- Experience: Proven track record in IT services sales and business development with the ability to generate and close new accounts.
- Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of Application Management Services (AMS), Cloud-native Application Development and expertise in at least one ERP system (SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, etc.). Strong understanding of one of the following industries: Automotive, Aerospace, Manufacturing, Industrial Products
- Sales Acumen: Ability to identify business opportunities, create sales strategies, and drive revenue growth.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Relationship Management: Strong ability to build and maintain professional relationships with key decision-makers.
- Problem-Solving: Proactive mindset with the ability to understand client challenges and provide tailored IT solutions.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in IT, Engineering, Business or related field or a related field (MBA preferred).
Preferred technical and professional experience
- Experience working with global IT service providers or consulting firms.
- Familiarity with cloud-based ERP and emerging digital technologies.
- Strong network in IT sales and business development.

The compensation range and benefits for this position are based on a full-time schedule for a full calendar year. The salary will vary depending on your job-related skills, experience and location. Pay increment and frequency of pay will be in accordance with employment classification and applicable laws. For part time roles, your compensation and benefits will be adjusted to reflect your hours. Benefits may be pro-rated for those who start working during the calendar year.
This position is eligible for participation in an IBM Sales Incentive plan. Actual incentive opportunity will be based on performance and the eligible Target Incentive, as addressed in the applicable plan, all of which is subject to change. The compensation range listed for this position is the IBM Reference Salary that is used when you are not actively participating in a sales plan. Your actual base pay plus incentive opportunity will be determined by the Incentive Plan assigned to you.
