In this role, you'll work in one of our IBM Consulting Client Innovation Centers (Delivery Centers), where we deliver deep technical and industry expertise to a wide range of public and private sector clients around the world. Our delivery centers offer our clients locally based skills and technical expertise to drive innovation and adoption of new technology.

Your role and responsibilities

Work closely with stakeholders to understand and document business needs and objectives. This includes identifying gaps between current and desired states, and prioritizing requirements based on organizational goals.

Propose and implement solutions to streamline operations, reduce costs, and increase productivity.

Help design new systems, technologies, or workflows. This often involves collaboration with IT teams and other departments.

Collect, interpret, and visualize data to support decision-making.

Be the liaison between technical and non-technical stakeholders. Explain complex concepts in simple terms and maintain open lines of communication throughout the project lifecycle.

Ensure proposed solutions meet the specified requirements and perform as intended.

May provide training to end-users to ensure they can effectively utilize the new tools or workflows.

Identify potential risks associated with new initiatives and propose strategies to mitigate these risks.

Stay updated with the latest industry trends, methodologies, and tools to continuously improve their skills and the organization's processes.

Required technical and professional expertise

  • Strong ability to gather, interpret, and analyze data. Draw meaningful conclusions and make informed recommendations based on their analysis.
  • Ability to understand business requirements and to break it down for the technical team
  • Ability for identifying problems, diagnosing their root causes, and proposing effective solutions.
  • A basic understanding of business principles, strategies, and operations is essential.
  • Ability to clearly articulate complex ideas and findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders is crucial.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Good relationship-building skils
  • Attention to Detail when documenting requirements, analyzing data, or creating reports.
  • Comfortable working in a dynamic environment and handle changes in priorities or projects gracefully.
  • A willingness to learn and keep up with industry trends, new tools, and methodologies is vital, as the field of business analysis is continually evolving.

Preferred technical and professional experience

  • Understanding project management fundamentals such as task prioritization, timeline management, and resource allocation is beneficial.
  • Technical Proficiency with common business analysis tools such as Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint)and project management software (JIRA, Confluence) is beneficial.
