Introduction
At IBM, Technical Specialists work to understand needs and then create complex high-quality solutions that make meaningful impact. You'll be responsible for overall leadership and delivery of the solutions from requirement gathering through implementation. You'll use your in-depth knowledge of leading-edge products and technologies along with industry and business skills to influence outcomes.
Your Role and Responsibilities
As a Brand Technical Specialist you'll work closely with clients to develop relationships, understand their needs, earn their trust and show them how IBM's industry leading solutions will solve their problems whilst delivering value to their business. You will be supporting sales with technical activities related to IBM Automation portfolio across industries. It includes understanding customer requirements (known and unknown), designing an appropriate fit-for-purpose solution, doing necessary demos/ Proof of Concepts (PoCs), detailing the bill of material, presenting business benefits and ensuring a grasp of Compete when it comes to the proposed solution offering.

Your primary responsibilities will include:
Client Strategy Design: Creating client strategies for Application Modernization infrastructure.
Solution Definition: Defining IBM Application Modernization solutions that enhance technology stacks.
Client Experience and Tech advice: Providing proof of experiences and simplifying complex topics to educate clients (demos, workshops, proof of concepts, architecture discussions).
Client Management and Value Definition: Effectively manage client relationships, define IBM's value proposition, and engage key decision-makers.
Sales Process Management and Collaboration: Oversee the entire sales process, with a focus on expanding new business opportunities, and collaborate closely with various IBM teams.
Required Technical and Professional Expertise
Familiarity with Business Infrastructure concepts and technologies (API, SOA, Microservices, ESB, SOAP/REST, Docker, Kubernetes, Public Cloud)
Excellent Communication Skills: Possess verbal, written, and interpersonal skills that are engaging, compelling and influential.
Presentation skills: Ability to present clear concepts, simplify complex concepts and adapt to different audiences.
Client Focused: Asks open-ended questions and understands needs to address business challenges.
Tech Savvy: Conversant about technology, latest industry trends and how it is being applied to address business challenges.
Team Player: Demonstrates team collaboration and can navigate different communication styles.
Self-Starter: Motivated to work with clients and can lead projects independently.
Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise
Three+ years of related experience
Practical experience in the software industry preferably in Integration, Messaging & API technologies.
Programming and DevOps experience is a plus
Tech Sales Success: Demonstrated success in technology sales.
