Introduction
As an IBM Application Architect, you directly help clients transform their business and solve complex problems. You will define the scope and vision for projects that deliver customized solutions using your knowledge of IBM platforms. You are a technical leader, serving as a liaison among business partners, technical resources, and project stakeholders.

Your Role and Responsibilities

As an Architect in IBM Consulting, you'll serve as a leader in defining solutions for clients. You'll be the advocate for the client while guiding the technical team to implementation.
You'll collaborate with client stakeholders and internal partners to understand the business problem and requirements, constraints of the system and concerns of the various stakeholders to systematically transform detailed solutions (architectures) for the client.

Your primary responsibilities include:
  • Experience in Architecture, Design, Build and Operationalize Redhat OpenShift environment.
  • Provide In-depth knowledge of best practices around developing micro services architectures, Dockers, the software containerization technology, and platform.
  • Design and architecture skills with middleware solutions, preferably in one or more major application suite(s) like IBM WebSphere, WebMethods, Oracle WebLogic, Red Hat Fuse, TIBCO, etc.
  • Develop Proof-of-Concept and demo part of pre-sales and on-going project implementation and support the sales team in the delivery and implementation Red Hat OpenShift solutions and offerings.
  • Own and drive forward specific areas of technology architecture, design, governance. Provide architectural solutions/designs to project execution teams for implementation. Work on finalizing functional requirements and co-deliver with Application team to architect, design, develop, test, and release features.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

  • Expert knowledge in RHEL 7
  • Experience with containers and Red Hat OpenShift or Kubernetes
  • Install and deploy Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform version 4.x and onwards.
  • Must have hands on experience in Cpeh backup / ACM / ACS.
  • Design architecture, High Level Design and Low-Level Design for multi-cluster OpenShift platform deployments.
  • Design and solution using IBM FTM4C

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise

  • Total 15+ Years of Experience in IT with minimum 5+ years as a Delivery Architect with proven expertise in application containerization management with OpenShift.
  • Operations for Kubernetes platforms including OpenShift and patching, upgrades, container registry management, security, and network policy management.
  • Design and Build monitoring and logging using Prometheus and Grafana and EFK, ELK stack.
  • Operational and Process knowledge on Canadian Check processing.
  • Understanding CPA (Canadian Payment Processing Rules)
