Your role and responsibilities
We are seeking a highly experienced and detail-oriented Senior Accounts Payable Specialist to join our finance team. This role requires a deep understanding of accounts payable processes and at least 5 years of experience managing complex invoice workflows and vendor relationships. As a senior team member, you will play a key role in ensuring compliance, driving process improvements, and providing leadership to junior staff.
Key Responsibilities:
- Invoice and Payment Oversight:
- Manage and oversee high-volume accounts payable transactions, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with company policies.
- Handle complex invoices and payment scenarios, including multi-currency transactions, telecommunications, and utilities.
- Monitor accounts payable aging to ensure timely payments and avoid late fees or penalties.
- Vendor and Stakeholder Relations:
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key vendors and service providers.
- Serve as the escalation point for vendor inquiries and disputes, resolving issues promptly and professionally.
- Audit and Compliance Management:
- Ensure adherence to financial controls, company policies, and regulatory requirements (e.g., SOX, GAAP).
- Provide support for internal and external audits by preparing and presenting documentation and reconciliations.

- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in accounts payable or related finance roles.
- Advanced proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong understanding of financial controls, policies, and regulatory requirements.
- Proven track record of process improvement and managing complex vendor relationships.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and time-management skills.
