The Procurement Professional 2 generates and implements efficient sourcing strategies. The Procurement Professional 2 work assignments are varied and frequently require interpretation and independent determination of the appropriate courses of action.

Reporting to the Associate Director of Procurement at Humana, the Sourcing Procurement Professional 2 will generate and implement efficient sourcing and category management strategies. The Sourcing Procurement Professional 2 will be expected to lead the end-to-end sourcing process for assigned projects, builds relationships with suppliers and business stakeholders, and drive incremental value for the business. Cross-functional and cross-business coordination both within Humana and with Humana's supplier base is required.

• Engage in End to End tactical RFP Execution, Management, and Analytics
• Gather and interpret relevant data to assess costs, productivity, demand patterns, etc.
• Contribute to post-contract sourcing delivery success (savings, compliance, buying channel optimization) related to assigned sourcing projects
• Combine solution results with graphics to create presentations and reports for reporting both inside and outside of Humana Enterprise Procurement
• Provide Actionable Savings, Spend, and Compliance Insight
• Ensure that legal terms in contracts are in line with category and procurement objectives•

Required Qualifications:
• Understanding of procurement sourcing processes, supplier negotiations and contract execution
• Intermediate to advanced proficiency of Microsoft Excel including modeling and development of macros
• Proficient in Microsoft products (i.e. Word and Power point)
• Solid public speaking and negotiation skills required
• Strong financial and business acumen required
• Proven ability to speak with and work across all levels of the business
• Ability to assimilate, analyze, draw conclusions, and make recommendations from multi-faceted and often ambiguous data
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to motivate project team members and stakeholders to meet established deadlines
• Motivated self-starter with the ability to work with minimal oversight
• Detail oriented and critical thinker
• Ability to be flexible and willing to learn new skill sets quickly as the need arises
• Effectiveness in working collaboratively with cross-functional teams

  • Must be in driving distance to Louisville, Ky. Must be able to come to the office for Qtrly meetings

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree
• Excellent analytical skills; ability to research and make efficient use of resources to achieve effective business results
• Experience in developing project plans and presenting business cases to Senior Leaders
• Ability to manage multiple tasks or projects simultaneously in a timely and professional manner; ability to transfer lessons learned into new processes; flexibility in job focus
• Experience with customer relationship management tools, such as Salesforce, and Contract Lifecycle Management tools, such as Icertis.

Pay Range
The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc.

$57,700 - $79,500 per year

This job is eligible for a bonus incentive plan. This incentive opportunity is based upon company and/or individual performance.
