The Procurement Excellence Governance, Policy and Compliance Director is a strategic, innovative, and results-oriented professional who drives organizational performance, procurement reform, and best practices in procurement. The role is responsible for implementing a Procurement Excellence program that streamlines, simplifies, and standardizes end-to-end procurement processes, policies, and governance. The role collaborates with cross-functional teams, suppliers, and stakeholders to align procurement strategies with company objectives, ensure compliance, and deliver cost savings and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

  • E2E responsibility for the entire scope of Procurement governance, policy-setting, and ensuring compliance.
  • Collaborate closely with business units, spearheading teams towards developing immediate and longer-term sourcing plans in governance, policy, and compliance areas.
  • Mastery of configuration and performance of all supporting/enabling Procurement processes, and E2E systems including P2P, S2C, and/or SRM as it impacts governance, policy & compliance.
  • Ability to synthesize information to understand and challenge category strategies to ensure supporting capabilities are in place to enable service delivery.
  • Relentlessly gather feedback (data, opinion, etc.) to inform continuous improvement and never satisfied with performance levels.
  • Keep abreast of latest trends in procurement governance, policy, and compliance areas and regularly share information to educate the broader team.
  • Manage partnerships and interactions with essential workstream functions such as IT, Finance, Legal, and Risk.
  • Assist the Procurement Excellence Lead in measuring and reporting on Procurement Excellence's overall performance, focusing on operational execution.
  • Work in unison with operations and category leads to fulfill the overarching Procurement Excellence strategy and goals.
  • Devise, enhance, and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and/or other initiatives led by the Procurement Excellence Team.
  • Guide skills evaluation and the development of new procurement training programs.
  • Acquire extensive knowledge of procurement governance, policy, and compliance.
  • Promote adherence to unified Procurement functions across various workstreams especially under the purview of governance, policy, and compliance.
  • Understand industry-specific regulatory and compliance requirements.
  • Cooperate with interdisciplinary teams to align procurement strategies with broader organizational aims.
  • Advise on best practices in procurement for the Strategic Sourcing Team.
  • Drive to elevate procurement strategies to a higher standard of efficiency, compliance, and professionalism.
  • Enhance how stakeholders engage - present a unified point of contact within the organization.
  • Upgrade governance, policy and compliance by creating and directing training initiatives for effective business engagement.
  • Engage with operation and category leads to establish coherent policies that avoid redundant efforts.
  • Formulate programs to normalize procurement methods throughout the company.
  • Promote unwavering conformance to established standards, rules, and guidelines, observing implementation and supplying proficient support.
  • Examine supply chain management against industry benchmarks and initiate strategic supply chain projects to bolster effectiveness, curb expenses, and improve customer contentment.
  • Administer and oversee supplier governance routines as outlined by Strategic Sourcing policy and supplier classification.
  • Lead special projects as assigned.
  • Proficient in project management via dynamic sourcing activity timeline.
  • Embrace Strategic Sourcing tools and report utilities.
  • Ensure visibility for Strategic Sourcing leadership; raise issues when necessary.
  • Implement procurement policies effectively to align with stakeholder needs.
  • Handle supplier governance procedures, basing them on a defined system to maximize value and reinforce return on investment.
  • Compose, revise, share insights, and report on various functions, matrices, decision authorities, and management protocols.
  • Shape and apply category strategies and procurement plans for critical segments like IT, HR, marketing, and professional services.

Work Experience

  • Leader in Procurement Governance, Policy and Compliance program with proven track record of initiating change and influencing multiple workstreams
  • Competence in navigating high-pressure settings while cultivating strong cross-departmental ties
  • Outstanding communication abilities, both written and oral, along with presentation skills
  • Active approach to problem-solving with the capacity to prioritize tasks effectively in a thriving environment
  • Keen eye for detail
  • Evidence of collaborative efforts within an organization
  • Forge solid relationships with colleagues from various departments and leaders across multiple workstreams
  • Collaborative team member / team player
  • Robust experience in procurement, tactical sourcing, supply chain management, or governance paired with notable leadership qualities and the skill to oversee intricate projects from start to finish involving several departments
  • Strong interpersonal abilities including critical thinking; effective collaboration; adaptability; the ability to work with different groups seamlessly; team-oriented and adept at resolving issues
  • Ability to work autonomously without needing much direction or support
  • Ability to travel as required

Education, Certification, Skills & Technical Proficiencies

BBA/BA/BS in business, finance, supply chain management or another related field or equivalent experience.

Minimum :
102,400 USD
Maximum :
162,600 USD
