Senior Product Manager, Data Privacy

AT HubSpot

Senior Product Manager, Data Privacy

London, United Kingdom

POS-14347

Data privacy is one of the largest growing concerns in our modern world. Access to the data businesses rely on to connect with their customers (cookies, tracking, consent) are being cut off in a privacy-first world - to win in this market, businesses need to build trust with their customers and earn the right to their data and consent.

The mission of our Global Data Privacy team is to empower our customers to protect their business and earn their customers' trust. By building self-service tools and providing guidance on how to collect, process, and use customer data responsibly within data privacy regulations, we hope to drive trust by protecting consumer data and giving them more transparency and control over their data. We have an opportunity to become the most trusted CRM for data privacy, building a platform solution that solves for the customer, in addition to enabling HubSpot product teams to ship privacy-first solutions faster.

In this role, you will be responsible for defining the vision and strategy for how we level up our data privacy platform in HubSpot - from collecting and managing data to monitoring and mitigating risk - and working cross functionally to execute on that strategy. As an SPM on the Global Data Privacy team, you'll be meeting with customers directly, exploring how to positively impact their day-to-day, creating KPIs for how to measure admins' efficiency, leading your team through uncertainty and incremental delivery, and setting a compelling narrative at the company level. You'll be working directly with your partners in Engineering, Design, Research, and Analytics to make the most impactful decisions to delight our customers.

In this role you'll get to:
  • Create a shared vision and cohesive roadmap for the future of this product area as a critical member of the Product Triad - our system for building product collaboratively and strategically
  • Drive alignment, set goals, build understanding and motivate others, including cross-functional partners across the company
  • Guide new product ideas from initial concept all the way through launch
  • Understand our customers and their journey through the product by engaging with them directly and often
  • Use data to identify opportunities to improve our customers' experience, devise strategy to execute your ideas, and partner with business stakeholders across HubSpot to make solutions that help our customers grow

We are looking for people who have:
  • Set a product vision and strategy and executed on it
  • Collaborated on a cross-functional team of UX designers, software engineers, UX research, analytics, and others
  • Worked on a platform product team that served both internal and external customers
  • Worked directly with customers to uncover their pain points and understand their needs
  • Knowledge of and passion for the Data Privacy space
  • Experience launching products incrementally to customers with a proven track record of impact
  • A multidisciplinary approach to thinking, combining market, business and technical insights to identify opportunities and weigh tradeoffs
  • The ability to articulate product vision to a variety of audiences
  • A deep respect for the expertise and insights of their collaborators, including engineering, design, UX research, analytics, and others
  • A drive to understand customer needs deeply and truly solving for their problems
  • Excellent communication, influencing, and interpersonal problem-solving skills
  • A passion for growing healthy teams and leaders, cultivating psychological safety, and facilitating tough conversations that help people grow
  • A desire to understand how HubSpot products work
  • The ability to make decisions, test assumptions, and iterate - often without perfect information
  • Demonstrated ability to adapt in an innovative and fast-paced environment
  • An understanding of the competitive software space

As a member of the Product Management org at HubSpot you'll:
  • Join a product-led culture that truly puts the customer first
  • Create and advance an ambitious product strategy that's driven by customer needs, business goals, powerful data, and global market indicators
  • Partner closely with colleagues in UX and Engineering to create a high-value product that's both powerful and easy to use
  • Use your voice, share your perspective, and have a real impact based on your point of view
  • Know what will lead to getting promoted, and why, thanks to clear expectations and robust career paths
  • Be empowered to show up as your authentic self and choose a work style and location where you can do your best work , whether that's at home, in an office, or a blend of the two.
