We're hiring a Senior Director of Executive Communications to lead internal and external communications for our CEO, Yamini Rangan. In this role, you'll be responsible for developing and executing a holistic CEO communications strategy. This includes partnering closely with Yamini to craft content and messaging that inspires and informs a diverse set of audiences including customers, employees, shareholders, and investors.
We are looking for someone who has experience in the tech industry leading executive communications, and experience writing and messaging around technology and business related topics. Great candidates will be skilled in speechwriting, key messaging, presentation development, thought leadership, and media prep. We're looking for someone who can capture an executive's voice, while proactively finding creative ways to elevate and evolve internal communications, external thought leadership, and investor communications.

This role will report into HubSpot's SVP, Brand & External Communications and work closely with Internal Communications and Office of the CEO.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Develop and drive the CEO's communications strategy including cohesive narratives for both internal & external audiences
- Partner closely with the CEO to capture voice, tone, and key messaging autonomously over time
- Manage and execute a robust external communications calendar based on CEO goals and priorities. This includes but is not limited to supporting in the drafting of:
- Quarterly earnings scripts and Q&A
- Annual keynote address
- Annual Analyst Day address
- Thought leadership content and bylines
- External speaking engagement prep
- Manage and execute a robust internal communications calendar based on HubSpot's rhythm of the business, while identifying opportunities to build on existing platforms which include:
- Board meeting remarks
- Quarterly company meetings
- Quarterly Director+ meetings
- Executive AMAs
- Build slide presentations for internal and external audiences, including the story arc, thought leadership, supporting data, and overall look & feel, partnering with designers
- Collaborate with the CEO's Chief of Staff, the Brand & PR teams, events teams, and more to evaluate content opportunities and shape messaging
- Help shape the CEO's executive social presence across various social media platforms
- Project manage and navigate crisis communications as needed on behalf of the CEO for employee-facing or external-facing audiences
Qualifications:
- Extensive experience working in executive communications roles, preferably with CEOs
- Previous experience working in the SaaS or technology industry preferred
- Strong track record of speechwriting, ghostwriting long- and short-form content, developing slide presentations, and identifying key soundbites
- Confidence crafting a variety of content types, ranging from investor and Board communications to mainstage keynotes and social media content
- Ability to simplify; top candidates will excel in making complex topics and ideas clear, concise, and approachable
- Must be incredibly proactive and organized
- High standards for deliverables; when it comes to creating content, you push for excellence in both the narrative and the details
- Executive presence; you're confident presenting to senior stakeholders, providing feedback, and acting as an advisor to executives
- Team player; you know how to build relationships cross-functionally, collaborate effectively, and to lead by influence
- Adaptability; you're just as comfortable driving a long-term vision as you are reacting to crisis communications and pivoting based on new information
- Comfortable navigating ambiguity: you're able to absorb information and inputs to pass down clarity
- Strong project management skills; you can autonomously manage timelines, dependencies, deliverables, and anticipate needs
Cash compensation range: [223,100]-[357,000] USD annually.

The cash compensation above includes base salary, on-target commission for employees in eligible roles, and annual bonus targets under HubSpot's bonus plan for eligible roles. In addition to cash compensation, all HubSpotters are eligible to participate in HubSpot's equity plan to receive restricted stock units (RSUs). Some roles may also be eligible for overtime pay.
