Position Overview
We're seeking a talented Creative Lead to join our creative and visual design team, with a primary focus on executive communications and presentation design. This role combines strategic thinking with exceptional design execution to create compelling visual narratives for both internal and external audiences. You'll work closely with executive stakeholders to transform complex ideas into clear, engaging presentations for high-profile events and strategic communications.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the visual design strategy for executive presentations at major industry events including INBOUND, GROW, and other high-visibility platforms
- Transform complex business narratives into visually compelling stories through sophisticated presentation design
- Partner with executives and cross-functional teams to understand objectives and deliver impactful visual solutions
- Design and maintain consistent visual systems for executive communications across various platforms and formats
- Provide art direction and maintain quality control across executive thought leadership materials
- Collaborate with brand, communications, and events teams to ensure alignment with overall company messaging and visual identity
- Mentor junior designers and provide guidance on presentation design best practices

- 10+ years of professional design experience, with a significant focus on presentation design and executive communications
- Outstanding portfolio demonstrating sophisticated visual design skills and ability to translate complex information into clear visual narratives
- Expert knowledge of presentation design principles and best practices
- Advanced proficiency in design tools including:
- PowerPoint (including advanced animation techniques)
- Google Slides
- Adobe Creative Suite
- Figma (preferred)
- Strong understanding of typography, color theory, graphic and layout design
- Proven experience working directly with executive stakeholders
- Excellent project management skills with the ability to handle multiple deadlines
- Bachelor's degree in Design, Visual Communications, or related field
- Self-motivated with strong initiative and the ability to work independently
- Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to receive and incorporate feedback effectively
- Calm under pressure and able to handle tight deadlines
- Strategic thinker who can balance creative vision with business objectives
- Experience with data visualization and information design
- Background in corporate communications or agency experience
- Primary designer for executive thought leadership content at major industry events
- Key contributor to the company's visual narrative and brand expression
- Collaborative partner across communications, brand, and events teams
- Influence on presentation design standards and best practices across the organization

Cash compensation range: 142000-228000 USD Annually

The cash compensation above includes base salary, on-target commission for employees in eligible roles, and annual bonus targets under HubSpot's bonus plan for eligible roles. In addition to cash compensation, some roles are eligible to participate in HubSpot's equity plan to receive restricted stock units (RSUs). Some roles may also be eligible for overtime pay. Individual compensation packages are based on a few different factors unique to each candidate, including their skills, experience, qualifications, and other job-related reasons.
