The IT Controlling Department is responsible for operating best-in-class function controlling processes to provide end-to-end transparency on IT cost and IT charges, with timely, accurate, standardized IT cost reporting, with continuously improving underlying process landscape to support it

To take care about the financial management of the Hitachi Energy SAP CoE (Center of Excellence) operations, we are looking for an experienced finance professional to work as Senior IT Financial Analyst in the recently created SAP CoE.

Your task will be to drive the financial Management of the SAP CoE, to provide financial and controlling expertise to management by compiling and analysing metrics, identifying trends and problems, communicating information to relevant groups, and recommending actions to improve financial performance of the SAP CoE. Support management in financial and commercial matters.

Reports to the Global IT Cost Reporting Manager and to Global Head of SAP CoE

Your involvement:

  • Drive the Financial Management and closing procedures around internal and external POs, vendor management, define journal entries during monthly closing and safeguard accurate financial treatment within area of responsibility
  • Operate project / cost review cycle to understand development of actuals vs. budget, cost-to-come and derive estimates: both cost and cash/ capex vs. opex perspective, cost vendor management
  • Support translation of resource needs to budget requirements and help assign financial impact to IT projects
  • Interpretation and review of financial results with various stakeholders and Finance team to drive appropriate responses.

Your background:

Education & experience:

  • Master's or Bachelor's Degree in Finance/Accounting or equivalent practical experience
  • Proven track record of at least 3+ years' experience in financial analysis, controlling or financial reporting working for a multinational company with matrixed teams - desired in IT organization

Soft & system skills:

  • Analytical skills / Data analytics
  • Learning agility
  • Communication skills
  • Detailed understanding of finance process, workflows and relevant tools
  • Experience in working with SAP
  • Experience with Power BI as advantage
