Basic Function: Conduct the Design of Distribution Transformers. Mechanical Design encompasses a variety of design and drafting assignments such as designing and modifying distribution transformer product drawings and BOM's as well as the manufacturing information.

Typical duties/responsibilities for engineering may include, but are not limited to, the following:

Responsibilities:

• Design Distribution Transformers per customer and applicable industry standards, using 2D and 3D CAD software, designing of transformers typically includes but is not limited to: Conceptual design, BOM generation and Drawing package generation

• Support in responding to customer inquiries

• Support in technical issues and continuous improvement of manufacturing process

• Support in root cause analysis & corrective actions activities.

• Participate in customer specification reviews and design reviews to ensure proposed design meets the industry standards, customer specifications.

• Consult with other engineering groups to ensure that specified engineering criteria are suitable for the proposed application, and recommend revisions, as appropriate

• Provide support to internal customers with relevant design information.

• Drafting Degree or equivalent
