The opportunity
Hitachi Energy, High Voltage Products, is renowned worldwide as a specialist for power transmission and distribution. The Service unit is responsible for the worldwide after sales support of generator circuit-breaker (GCB) systems and gas insulated switchgears (GIS), including training, installation and commissioning, scheduled maintenance, added value services, troubleshooting, extensions, retrofits and replacements.
We supply our local customers worldwide with material from our Product Service Center in Zurich. This includes not only all procurement processes, but also the production of entire modules in our factories and the assembly of kits and assemblies in our Service Logistics Center. We are looking for an experienced materials manager to coordinate all material and data flows.

How you will make an impact
- Production and order planning and control of our logistics center and the corresponding factories
- Proactive monitoring of material and information flows
- Monitoring master data and corresponding parameters
- Coordination of feasibility and availability analyzes for quotation requests
- Task force in urgent troubleshooting actions as representative of Material Management
- Coordination of material compliance activities from suppliers to the Chamber of Commerce
- Moderation of daily management meetings including the resulting tasks
- Participation in the development of the internal power platform SEPP for the area of material management, in improvement projects and continuous improvement
Your background
- Completed vocational training and previous experience in operations, SCM or logistics, possibly even product know-how from GCB or GIS
- Advanced training in a relevant subject area (e.g. FH/HF/TS)
- Fluent German and good knowledge of English
- Experience in ERP and other support systems. Ideally SAP in the areas of MM, MRP, PP as well as material masters, dispatch lists, production orders and purchase requisitions
- Eager to learn and loyal team player with the potential to develop into more senior roles in the coming years
