Role/Responsibilities

SUMMARY
The Material Manger sets the strategic direction of the department in accordance with the Management Team and the General Manager. The Material Manager is responsible for all material, externally and within Kamtek 3 including planning, releasing, shipping of raw material, and shipping of finished goods to customers. The Material Manager schedules production together with the production departments and assures material and machine availability to fulfill customer demands. The Material Manager has full control over all inventory at Kamtek 3 and assures that Kamtek 3 operates with a minimal amount of inventory at all times. The Material Manager is responsible for the operation of all warehouses Drive utilizes. The Material Manager assumes responsibility for the safe operation of all logistical functions within the plant and at the warehouses (receiving, raw material, WIP, Press Shop, Assembly Shop, Finished Goods and Shipping). The Material Manager oversees the availability and utilization of ERP systems and fully supports all efforts to upgrade the system to SAP. The Material Manager works closely with Purchasing, IT, Production and Finance to guarantee that all transactions are timely and accurate. The Material Manager assures inventory accuracy is maintained at the highest level possible (>99%). The Material Manager works closely with Engineering, Quality and Production to assure product control at all times. The Materials Manager is responsible to ensure that the Customer, People, and Investor goals are balanced and met.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Follow and enforce all safety policies and procedures
• Leads the Material Management, Logistics and Production Control Team to ensure that Kamtek 3's business plan goals and objectives are met, measured by EBIT and ROFE targets as agreed with the General Manager
• Assures that customer goals, specifications and requirements are met
• Establishes and implements departmental policies, goals, objectives, and procedures
• Ensures that Kamtek 3 maintains a proactive management style, an open-door policy for a positive employee relations climate, measured by a yearly EOS Score

• Coordinates and/or act as a liaison between the Division and other Corporate Entities, External Organizations, Suppliers, and Customers
• Implements a Management System (IATF) that encompasses all aspects of Kamtek 3s business
• Assures that the area is ready to pass system and process audits at any time
• Drives all activities together with the SAP team to implement strong business systems for inventory control and production planning
• Attends a monthly Management Review to monitor KOI's and defines countermeasures if targets are not achieved
• Continuously strengthens all systems to strive for Excellence regarding all aspects of the business
• Prepares and participates in the Quarterly Review with Cosma
• Assures compliance with rules and regulations
• Works closely with the Business and Purchasing Manager regarding all material related issues
• closely with the Quality Department to assure control over Drives product internally and externally

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Works cross-functionally with production, engineering and quality to assure flawless execution in production
• Supports corrections of the Bill of Material and supports Kamtek 3's business systems with logistics resources to assure appropriate system functionality
• Assures appropriate documentation of processes, equipment and systems
• Establishes and maintains work instructions, quality manuals, procedures and systems to assure predictable processes
• Works closely with Purchasing and Finance to guarantee a systematic capital purchasing in the most efficient and effective way for Kamtek 3 and Cosma
• Works closely with SQA to assure timely removal of non-conforming material
• Assures safe operation of all logistics related equipment (Cranes, Forklifts, etc.)
• Assures safe operation of raw material storages in close relationship with the safety coordinator
• Maintains the yard and implements 5s
• Supports the Unified Effort within Cosma
• Promote good housekeeping (5S)
• Perform other duties as required

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's Degree (BA) from four-year college or university or two to five years related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of educational and experience.

• Reading, analyzing and interpreting general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, and or governmental regulations.
• Writing reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.

The main language proficiency shall be in the English language with a Grade Level greater than 12.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS / WORK ENVIRONMENT
Typically, the employee may sit comfortably to perform the work. However, there may be some walking; standing; bending; carrying of light items such as papers, books, small parts; driving an automobile, etc. No special physical demands are required to perform the work. Frequent Business Travel can be expected.
CORPORATE MANAGEMENT SYSTEM (CMS)
The Company is governed by compliance to a Corporate Management System, prescribing the objectives and procedures related to Employees, Shareholders, Customers, Quality, Health, Safety, Environmental concerns, Preservation of Energy and Corporate Citizenship. Public compliance to the CMS is demonstrated through certification to specific national and international standards (TS/ISO 16949, 14000, etc.) either by our customers or external authorities in Quality, Environmental, Health, Safety and Corporate Governance. Certification is preceded by internal and external audits to measure compliance to the documented CMS.
Every Manager is required to support all organizational efforts in the area of CMS compliance directly related to their area of responsibility. It is further required to: regularly review and understand changes to the CMS; oversee any required changes and or updates to the relevant works instructions; and promote and maintain CMS compliance at all times.
