The opportunity
Are you an enterprising and energetic person with a passion for health, safety and the environment? Do you want to make a difference in a leading technology company? Hitachi Energy Norway is looking for an experienced dedicated HSE advisor who will take a central and leading role in improving our HSE culture and ensuring compliance with procedures and internal control.
How you'll make an impact
- Lead and run key HSE projects that strengthen and further develop our HSE culture across the organization.
- Responsible for sustainable improvement processes that ensure higher compliance with procedures and internal control, both in offices and on site, with the aim of raising HSE standards.
- Develop and implement targeted HSE training for employees at all levels, and actively contribute to building a stronger safety culture through knowledge sharing and awareness-raising.
- Analyze nonconformities and identify areas for improvement, as well as proactively propose and implement concrete measures that strengthen HSE work and contribute to lasting change.
- Be a proactive and strategic partner for managers and employees in HSE-related issues.
- Be a subject matter expert in risk assessments and contribute to continuous improvement of the company's HSE systems, so that we always operate with the best possible risk management and safety.
- Be a driving force for the implementation of digital, sustainable solutions that streamline HSE work and contribute to a more environmentally friendly and future-oriented workplace.
- Some travel must be expected.
Your background
- Higher education in HSE, engineering, or other relevant background.
- Experience in HSE, preferably from the energy sector or the construction industry.
- Documented experience with culture change processes and implementation of internal control systems.
- Strong skills in project management and ability to drive internal improvement projects.
- Experience with the development and implementation of training and courses.
- Good knowledge of Norwegian HSE legislation and international standards.
- Good communication skills in Norwegian and English.
