The Opportunity

We are looking for a Grid Integration - Valves Engineering Manager to provide strategic direction, leadership, management, and coordination of the relevant function. This role is crucial in driving the performance of the function to ensure all activities meet the required necessities, including contractual requirements such as scope and on-time delivery.
We are looking for a senior leader ready to take on the challenge to grow HVDC, Power Quality and Power Conversion Engineering capabilities to the next level to enable a sustainable energy future

- Lead the global engineering teams for Grid Integration Valves, overseeing teams in Mechanical Design, Electrical Design, Cooling Design in Sweden, India and China.
- Ensure the timely and cost-effective completion of engineering projects, maintaining high standards of quality and safety.
- Own short to mid-term strategy execution and build engineering capabilities within the business to ensure we have the capability to deliver on our ambitious growth - with Safety and Quality as key priorities. Coach and sponsor strategic initiatives with stakeholders from multiple disciplines.
- Further build capabilities and competence in engineering related to productification and industrialization, design for manufacturing and product configuration management.
- Drive efficiency through Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) implementation to be successful with the growth the industry is facing.
- Manage resource demand planning to ensure capability and competence of future projects.
- Coach and sponsor quality and failure investigations
- Close collaboration with quality department, supply chain, R&D, Operations and manufacturing plants to drive efficiency throughout value chain.
- Ensure processes are in place to ensure operational excellence, capture and share best practices and learnings. Relentless question way of working to continuously improve.
- Ensure all engineering activities comply with relevant industry standards, regulations, and company policies.
- Part of global Grid Integration Valves management team leading beyond engineering function to ensure business success and meet growth targets in a fast-paced industry as one team.
Your Background
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Engineering, R&D or Product development).
- Proven experience in a leadership role, preferably within the industry.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Beneficial with experience in Lean Manufacturing, APQP, PPAP and FMEA
- Knowledge of industry trends, standards and engineering frameworks in the manufacturing industry.
- Proficiency in relevant software and tools.
