Seize this opportunity as a Financial Controller with Hitachi Energy, based in France. You will have access to our office in Beynost (primary location) and Paris and act as a business partner to our Local Service Manager and Local Domestic Sales Manager, HUB controllers and other relevant stakeholders.

You'll support effective business decisions by monitoring, analyzing, and interpreting financial data in order to evaluate various business alternatives and recommend the most appropriate business solutions. Plus maintain constant contact with relevant managers and controllers regarding financial and commercial matters from a business operations and sales strategy perspective.

Main Accountabilities:

  • Act as a Service Business Controller and as a Local Sales Controller (two local reporting units) and as a local management team member.
  • Ensure high quality of financial data and business information in line with defined standards and financial closing schedules. Also ensure transparency in financial reporting and disclosures.
  • Communicate timely and efficiently with Local Management team as well as with HUB Controllers, GBS, and other internal stakeholders on financial performance, issues and actions to improve. Interpret financial results and measure in the context of business operations.
  • Participate actively in risk reviews. Identify and communicate commercial and financial risks and opportunities from business propositions and provides guidance to Sales team.
  • Develop and oversee processes and tools necessary to obtain transparent and reliable financial data and business information.
  • Oversee the business planning and forecasting process for the area of responsibility and serve as the interface to Local Business.
  • Monitor progress achieved and provide insight and analysis to support operational decision-making. Identify issues and advise management on action plans and operational strategies to resolve.
  • Identify cost savings potentials (SG&A, COPQ), drive productivity optimization and capital efficiency. Manage and closely monitor the cash flow and takes actions to improve Net Working Capital.
  • Follow and implement internal controls standards. Ensure compliance with corporate and country standards, regulations, and guidelines.

Your background

  • Master or bachelor's degree in Economics, Business Administration / Finance (or similar)
  • 5 years of relevant work experience in business controlling, sales controlling and/or accounting function, in complex international organization
  • Experience in cost accounting, calculation of hourly rates, project controlling
  • Profound knowledge of finance and control processes, IFRS regulations.
  • Good MS Excel and good SAP user and system expertise (preferable experience with Sap 4/Hana)
  • Confident to work on your own initiative and communicate on different levels within the organization; ability to manage multiple priorities and work under pressure with mandatory deadlines
  • Fluent in spoken and written English and able to communicate at all levels, French knowledge considered as an advantage
