Your Responsibilities:

  • The position would be responsible for creating, developing, and maintaining schedules and plans for construction projects. This role involves coordinating with multidisciplinary teams to optimize project timelines, identify potential issues, and propose solutions to keep projects on track.
  • Collaborate in the development and preparation of design and planning programmes, ensuring alignment with project goals and timelines.
  • Oversee and track project progress, implementing effective monitoring systems to ensure adherence to schedules and milestones. Arrange Weekly, fortnightly and monthly meetings with contractor, vendor and cross functional Business team and follow through.
  • Prepare and present detailed reports and analyses on project advancements, highlighting achievements, obstacles, and potential solutions.
  • Closely working with BU segments to understand the Real Estate requirements, defining the scope of potential projects, conducting risk assessment, preparing budgets and timelines required to execute these projects in line with requirements of stakeholders.
  • Vendor evaluation specific to the requirements of project, coordinating the tendering roll out and bid management process, preparing techno-commercial evaluations for finalization of the bidder. Coordinating for onboarding the selected vendor in line with the set company process and guidelines.
  • Compile and plan budgets, cost estimates, cashflows and other financial estimates for the annual capex budget planning process and also specific to the projects.
  • Reporting regularly on progress to the internal BU segments and other key stakeholders, resolving any issues or delays and customer requirements.
  • Ensuring a properly executed project closeout, verification of all the contractor's invoices and claims with respect to completion of the tasks. Ensuring that the 'as built drawings' and other project specific documents are complete in all respects and handed over to the internal customers.

Your Background:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil, Mechanical or Electrical engineering.
  • 10+ years of experience in project management/construction planning management in Industrial or Infrastructural segment.
  • Experience of Execution of construction works of Industrial Projects.
  • Technical proficiency: sound knowledge and expertise in project management software, Microsoft Project, to efficiently create, manage, and update project schedules. Knowledge in Microsoft Power Point, MS excel is desired, knowledge in AutoCAD is desired but not essential.
  • Must have handled medium to large Industrial projects, sized from 1m USD to 25m USD in value, including greenfield projects.
  • The base location would be Vadodara but the candidate would be expected to travel to different parts of India region (including India, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and Nepal) for project activities. The candidate should be open to relocation in future as per business requirements.
  • High level of integrity, transparency and ownership.
  • Self-responsible and independent working methods as well as quick in understanding & learning.
  • Team player with high level of reliability, accuracy and empathy.
  • Proficiency in both spoken & written English language is required.
