The Global Trade team within Hitachi Energy is responsible for "ensuring trade compliance and optimizing trade-related business operations". The broad scope of work covers export controls, sanctions and customs compliance, supply chain compliance and supply chain optimization.

How you'll make an impact
The Country Trade Compliance Officer (CTCO) is responsible for managing and implementing the Hitachi Energy Global Trade Program (GTP) at country level.
The Country Trade Compliance Officer (CTCO) reports to the Country Trade Compliance Manager (CTCM) and the day to day tasks include:
- Implement and coordinate the Global Trade Management program at the country level, focusing on centralizing trade tasks.
- Manage country-specific trade policies and procedures with the Country Trade Compliance Manager, ensuring compliance with local laws and regulations.
- Train and support Business Units on trade-related topics like export control, customs compliance, and sensitive countries.
- Update stakeholders regularly on potential risks and trade issues.
- Consult and escalate trade compliance questions and issues as needed.
- Support the use and improvement of global trade tools and automation.
- Assist with internal and external trade audits.

Your background
- Degree in trade, law, economics, logistics, or a related field.
- EU legal qualification or international trade background is a plus.
- Experience in export controls, sanctions, customs compliance, and supply chain optimization.
- Knowledge of EU trade regulations and sanctions.
- Fluent in Norwegian and English; other European languages (Swedish, Danish, Estonian, or Finnish) are a plus.
- SAP & SAP GTS knowledge is highly valued.
- Material master and classification (HS/ECN) knowledge is highly valued.
