As a Lead Inventory Pharmacy Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate drug inventory within the cage and floor locations. Additionally, you will be responsible for the pharmacy automation inventories and oversee the stocking of both drug inventory and supplies for the machine. This position's responsibilities will also include instructing technicians and pharmacy staff on refilling pharmacy automation and return-to-stock processes. You will report to the Area Manager overseeing RX inventory. This is an opportunity to help promote safe, efficient, and impactful pharmacy inventory management.
This role is based in our Gilbert, AZ facility. Hours are Sunday-Wednesday, 5:30pm - 4:00am (shift differential available).
You Will:
- Oversee the maintenance of pharmacy inventory by performing physical inventory moves within the cage, documenting inventory moves accurately, removing and accurately documenting outdated drugs, and partnering with the inventory supervisor to resolve any inventory discrepancies.
- Develop and implement pharmacy automation and inventory management training programs.
- Organize drug disposal and return pharmacy packages containing medication in accordance with Stericycle and state board regulations.
- Lead cycle counts in order to maintain inventory accuracy.
- Support pharmacy and pharmacist services by stocking, labeling, assembling, and filling medications or other tasks as permitted by the state board of pharmacy
You Have:
- Nationally Certified Pharmacy Technician License (EXCPT or PTCB)
- Active Certified Pharmacy Technician registration with the Arizona Board of Pharmacy
- 5+ years of Inventory control experience
- 5+ years of Pharmacy experience
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working in a high volume dispensing operation
- Experience working with Automated Pharmaceutical Machines

Conditions of Employment:
- This position will require working with Hazardous Drugs (HD) and would require that Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) be worn for the length of working with these drugs. These items would include gloves, respiratory protection, gown and other items as required.
- This position requires medical approval to wear respiratory protection in the form of negative or positive pressure respirators, including N95, full face respirator, SCBA, or Powered Air Purifying Respirator (PAPR).
- Physical exertion required. Including, but not limited to, walking up to 50% of the time, standing up to 100% of the time, squatting and bending up to 20% of the time and lifting up to 80% of the time for up to a twelve hour shift. Must be able to lift up to 50lbs.
- Due to the risk of reproductive capability in handling or compounding certain Hazardous Drugs (HD) associates must be willing to confirm that they understand the potential risks (teratogenicity, carcinogenicity and reproductive effects) of handling hazardous drugs.

The actual amount will take into account a range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, and location.
