JOB OVERVIEW:

This position is responsible for performing an in-depth analysis on dental practices to determine their worth, including but not limited to analyzing financial statements and documentation, assessing economic conditions, understanding the unique aspects of a dental business and considering other factors that could affect the value of the practice. This role is responsible for providing accurate and timely valuations of assets for a variety of purposes, including financial reporting, tax planning, private sale, partnership and associate buy-ins, among others. Analyst will be expected to perform and complete work independently while collaborating and reporting back to a team of business resources to ensure consistency of documentation and evaluative results.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Perform advanced level research and analysis on dental practices to value assets. Determine and consider outside factors that could impact the value of assets; utilize market data to support valuations.
  • Understand and apply valuation methods including discounted cash flow analysis, income method analysis, and the net asset value method.
  • Prepare valuation reports for clients and management.
  • Assist in the development of presentations to communicate valuation results.
  • Respond to inquiries from clients or management regarding valuation results or methodology.
  • Stay up to date on developments in the field of valuation.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to maintain and improve skills.
  • Performs other duties as required.

SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:

  • Strong analytical, communication, organizational and verbal skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Experience working with financial statements (Profit & Loss Statements and Tax Returns)
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel Skills
  • Proficient in Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, and Teams and web applications / searches

MINIMUM WORK EXPERIENCE:

Typically 5 to 7 or more years of increasing responsibility in terms of any applicable professional experience.

PREFERRED EDUCATION:

Typically a Bachelor's Degree or global equivalent in related discipline. Master's degree or global equivalent a plus. May hold one or more industry certifications; professional certification may be required to advance.

TRAVEL / PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Travel typically less than 10%. Office environment. No special physical demands required.

The posted range for this position is $71,993 to $125,987 which is the expected starting base salary range for an employee who is new to the role to fully proficient in the role. Many factors go into determining employee pay within the posted range including prior experience, current skills, location/labor market, internal equity, etc.

This position is eligible for a [bonus/incentive] not reflected in the posted range.
