Job Profile Summary Reporting to the VP - Infrastructure, Operations, and Information Management, the VP, Data Product Librarian is accountable for Data Architecture, Data Governance, Data Product Definition and Stewardship for Healthfirst. As part of the Information Management Program, the VP Data Product Librarian leads a small team of Architects and Governance staff entrusted with the Definition for Data Products across the company. This executive collaborates, influences, and takes strategic decisions impacting all Data Products at Healthfirst. The VP owns the strategy, vision, and advancement of the Data Strategy in the Enterprise. The VP, Data Product Librarian will provide Data thought leadership and coaching to Information Management, IT, and business teams while setting the overall technical direction and strategy for Data Product Architecture at Healthfirst. The VP works with business and technical teams to establish and deliver the strategy. The senior leader engages in collaboration with business and IT teams through influence, impact, and executive presence. The VP, Data Product Librarian is an enabler who plays the role of Product Management across Data Management. The VP, Data Product Librarian creates an environment where team members can maximize their contribution and impact - and then ensures that the effort is optimally harnessed to serve our members.

- Develop the Data Strategy and partner with all levels of leadership on ways to improve the Information Management Program.
- Interface with IT and business leadership to provide thought leadership on Data Architecture and Governance
- Assist in managing department specific/assigned contractor budgets in support of financial decisions, negotiate with vendors, identify cost savings opportunities, and monitor day-to-day expense management.
- Responsible for Definition and Governance of complex Data Products.
- As a technology and business leader, build and enable the Information Management organization into a world class team, utilizing best in class practices and technologies.
- Provide leadership across Program Team boundaries as a champion of Data for the Enterprise.
- Remove obstacles, think differently, and advance methods of work that enable the Data Product Librarian function, with a bias towards action vs. academic discussion.
- Develop strong cross functional partnerships and manage the overall performance of the Data Product Librarian team.
- Advance the Data Architecture for the company, in partnership with the AVP, Data Product Delivery
Minimum Qualifications
- Demonstrated technology subject matter expertise in Data Architecture and Governance.
- 15+ years of leadership experience in Data software development and business roles.
- 10 years+ leading and influencing large organizations of senior technology and business leaders.
- Demonstrated Agile Delivery experience.
- Technical depth in modern Cloud Data Platform solutions and Data Architecture patterns
- Strong Business Acumen with a minimum of 20 years prior experience across IT and/or Healthcare, Insurance related fields
Preferred Qualifications
- Advanced degree
- BS in Computer Science, Information Management, Business or Healthcare related field
- Expertise in Data Architecture and Platform Architecture
- Strategic thinker with strong analytical skills
- Advanced negotiating, influence, and delivery execution skills
- Ability to thrive in a fast past, changing environment.
Hiring Range:
- Greater New York City Area (NY, NJ, CT residents): $218,200 - $424,745
- All Other Locations (within approved locations): $218,200 - $424,745
As a candidate for this position, your salary and related elements of compensation will be contingent upon your work experience, education, licenses and certifications, and any other factors Healthfirst deems pertinent to the hiring decision.
