Little, Brown Books for Young Readers is looking for a passionate, creative, resourceful intern to join the Editorial team.
Location: This position will be based in our New York office on a three day per week hybrid schedule. A company laptop will be provided.
Schedule: 28 hours/week, Monday–Thursday, 9 am–5 pm
Pay rate: $16.50/hour
In this role, you will have the opportunity to work closely with seasoned professionals and gain hands-on professional experience as you own day-to-day tasks, help with special projects, and attend departmental meetings.

- Interested in exploring a career in book publishing, with a specific passion for children’s literature
- A self-starter with strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
- Organized, detail-oriented, and resourceful with the ability to balance multiple responsibilities and work independently
- A team player with a keen desire to learn
- Proficient in MS Word, Outlook, and Excel
- Spanish-language proficiency is a plus
Job responsibilities include:
- Logging, reviewing, and drafting feedback on manuscript submissions
- Researching comparative titles
- Mailing to creators and agents
- Keeping online databases up to date
- General administrative duties
