We are currently looking for a HR Communications and Engagement Lead to join our Curry's operation in Newark. You'll work as part of the on-site HR team to provide efficient and effective communication across the contract and develop and engagement strategy to improve employee morale.

This role is being offered on a full-time, permanent basis, and the hours of work are 37.5 Monday to Friday, between 08:00 - 18:00 to suit. However, flexibility will be required around peak and large engagement events, this is logistics after all!

What you'll do on a typical day:
  • Improve all communications and engagement on site, thinking of new innovative and technological ways of supporting the communication initiative and strategically delivering on our overall engagement agenda
  • Gain support and buy in from the wider operational teams when delivering employee engagement activities that help drive an improvement in the overall colleague experience
  • Establish a consistent communications channel, bringing communications into the digital age
  • Successfully build, manage and deliver the year-by-year engagement calendar
  • Establish a group of peers both inside and outside of the contract to build a larger engagement network, leading project groups to reimagine the wellbeing and D&I calendar

What you need to succeed at GXO:
  • Proven experience in a similar communications and engagement role, or able to demonstrate these skills as part of a wider role
  • Excellent people management skills with the ability to build and maintain credible and strong professional relationships at all levels
  • Be an effective influencer and communicator, able to positively engage and empower others
  • Strong IT skills including Word and Canva, able to be creative with new ways of working
