Job Summary:

This Director level role will lead the HR Operations team globally, serving our field services organization. This includes the development and delivery of regional hubs executing core HR transactions. In addition, this leader is instrumental in identifying process improvements to enhance the overall employee experience and HR service delivery, utilizing various tools, including SAP Success Factors and the ServiceNow HRSD suite of solutions. This leader shall process own HR analytics and metrics for global field services also.

The role will report to Clare Rowland starting 1/1/25.

  • Lead a global team of ~25 HR operations team members, with strong front line execution, strategic alignment, and positive Vernova Way aligned culture


  • Partner with executive leadership team, and global HR leadership, to refine and execute the HR Operations strategy and vision for highly unique, field workforce.


  • Drive the execution of the employee experience processes and tools aligned with key stakeholders including executive leadership, employees, and cross functional partners


  • Maintain an integrated roadmap for digital initiatives, in close collaboration with IT, that enable the HR and employee systems and process landscape


  • Manage and support the delivery and implementation of projects across a range of focus areas including statutory changes and requirements, expansion into new and existing locations, and HR/HRO initiatives (e.g., Employee Service Center, cross CoE solutions, systems testing, etc).


  • Partner globally across business groups and regions, building cross cultural relationships with key stakeholders at all levels of the business.


  • With a Lean mindset, drive continuous improvement in core HR processes and tools, and standardization of processes with SOPs and automation


  • Partner with field workforce planning team on short term and long-term workforce forecasting and planning


  • Process own the HR Bowler for the business, with core HR metrics fulfillment, progress, and tracking.


  • Serve as a thought leader on future of work, HR ops and analytics, service delivery and other topics.


  • Serve as a core partner with our Kaizen promotion office on standard work, kaizens, and other initiatives in HR.


  • Help shape the future of HR in the business, including headcount optimization and productivity, simplification and improvements in service delivery.


  • Support Gas Power HR Operations Leader and OFS HR team on critical employee experience, change management, and communications initiatives, both for all employee communications and HR org only communications


  • Partner with other HR CoEs and functional teams to identify, prioritize and develop opportunities for continuous improvement


  • Partner with HR Programs and Compliance team on salient global policies, include policy updates, communication, and roll out where needed


  • Collaborate with HR CoEs including Total Rewards, Talent Acquisition and others for process improvement opportunities


  • Manage multiple initiatives at once, including project tasks, budget, and timeline.


  • Ensure an effective change management strategy is created for all HR Operations and Employee Experience programs


  • Travel may be required


  • May be assigned other duties to help proactively drive HR Operations organizational purpose, in line with the GE Vernova Way.

Required Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Operations, Business, Mathematics, Engineering, Human Resources, Psychology, Sociology, or other related field


  • Significant experience in Operations, Lean, Services, Engineering, Quality, Human Resources, Organization Development, or related field required.


  • Experience with leading and developing multi-discipline teams, preferably with international reach across multiple service types


  • English proficiency required

  • Extensive project management, planning, and analytical skills


  • Strong team building skills. Ability to build relationships, trust, and interface effectively across multiple organizations and businesses


  • Experience with ServiceNow HRSD solutions


  • Experience leading and managing global change management, and scaled projects.


  • Strong communications and presentation skills.


  • High energy self-starter. Strong attention to detail. Strong problem-solving skills


  • Constant learner in a fast paced and changing environment.


  • Vendor selection and relationship development experience


  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office - Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint


  • Strong business acumen and executive presence


  • Knowledge of the power generation industry or similar operations and services business models


  • Ability to work in a matrix environment, influence and motivate diverse teams to achieve a unified goal


  • Multi-lingual language capabilities


  • Lean or six sigma certified

If contracted in the US:

The base pay range for this position is $141,200.00 - 200,000.00 USD Annual. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate's experience, education, and skill set. This position is also eligible for a performance bonus. This posting is expected to close on 9/12/24.

*The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas.
