Manager, Client Finance
Overview:
Responsible for providing financial management and analysis for Wavemaker's client finance group as well as global budget management and support for Wavemaker's key clients. Provide financial analysis and reporting in order to inform financial business decisions and ensure all financial aspects of each client are properly managed. Provide finance support to client media teams and monitor client media budgets. Forecast company revenue/billings, review scopes of work, and price staff plans. Serve as the primary day-to-day finance client contact for several global clients. Be the Wavemaker point person for all Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) compliance requirements. Work closely with GroupM on instituting and managing monthly and quarterly SOX processes.

Your Impact:
- Forecast, analyze and report revenue by client consistent with Wavemaker policies and GAAP; analyze resource allocation and utilization; analyze company profitability by client and by individual service line (planning, buying, interaction, etc).
- Support overall budgeting and re-forecasting efforts; submit Monthly Flash, Quarterly Forecast and Annual Operating Budget
- Collaborate with regional Finance leads to consolidate financials for global review
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes to ensure timely billing and sufficient cash flow for the agency. Oversee the collection of past-due accounts; ensure adherence to contract billing policies; provide summaries of monthly billing and reconciliations
- Be the Wavemaker lead on all SOX compliance items, including: working with Controllership on implementation and monitoring, working with the Client Finance team on monthly processes to satisfy WPP control requirements, being the point person on all SOX compliance matters both internally and externally.
- Partner with client Account Directors to maintain expert and fluid knowledge of client's business models, contractual arrangements, key strengths, and opportunities.
- Proactively document and follow up on any budgeting, billing, invoicing, or payment issues that pertain to Clients.
- Serve as thought leader and key point of contact with Legal team during contract negotiations involving client portfolio.
- Manage day to day Finance responsibilities on Clients including but not limited to client/product/job set up, production invoices, ad hoc reporting, and vendor payment issues.
Your Qualifications:
- 5-7 years' experience in finance and accounting
- Bachelor's Degree in accounting, Finance, or Business
OR equivalent professional work experience - Audit/Compliance background preferred
- Marketing & Communications Services / Media and Advertising industry experience desired, experience in Digital media a plus
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Detail-oriented with ability to see big picture and work on diverse projects
- Proactive mindset with ability to provide creative solutions to complex problems
- Strong time management and organizational skills; ability to work independently
- Exceptional Microsoft Office skills, especially Excel and PowerPoint

The base salary for this position at the time of this posting may range from $60,000 to $140,000. Individual compensation varies based on job-related factors, including business needs, experience, level of responsibility and qualifications.
