Position Overview

As a data engineer within the analytics team, you will work in an environment where everyone is passionate about data, analytics and self-development with a customer-centric focus. You will work with data scientists, digital marketing experts and client leads to build data pipelines in cloud environment for client deliverables including but not limited to performance measurement and reporting, media planning, media and creative testing/analysis, as well as competitive research and analysis.

Key Responsibilities

• Gather, store and maintain big data sets for all digital marketing channels. Data sources include Ad Server, DSP, DMP, Ad Verification

• Collaborate with a cross-functional team of client leads, application developers, operations engineers and architects to translate complex product requirements into technical specs and design requirements.

• Develop and deploy automated scripts in Google cloud services to be used by other teams to increase productivity.

• Design, build and deploy ETL and data management processes with reliable error/exception handling and rollback framework.

• Provide production support for data load jobs and develop a customized query to generate automatic periodic reports.

• Build applications writing SQL/Python scripts to manipulate data and/or writing specific instructions for off-shore programmers to write the script.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field. OR equivalent professional work experience.

• Strong skills in SQL/ Python and proven experience working with at least one of the major databases platforms required

• Some experience with the following GCP or equivalent cloud services: Cloud Storage, DataProc, Dataflow, CloudSQL, BigQuery

• Related work experience in the field of data engineering, marketing analytics, data science, or technology consultative environments. Knowledge of ad-tech is a big plus.

• Experience with Data Architecture fundamentals, database design, and programming, ETL and custom query development

• Experience with building data pipes into Azure/GCP/AWS for Data Profiling Tools, ETL and Data

• Experience with source code management systems.

The base salary for this position at the time of this posting may range from $45,000 to $100,000. Individual compensation varies based on job-related factors, including business needs, experience, level of responsibility and qualifications.
