Position Details

The Senior Merchandising Content Analyst is an expert in Publishing rich content guidelines and partners with Merchandising strategy to ensure that the visual rich content category review plan answers customer questions and positions Grainger to guide the best experience. You will help build the strategy and then translate the plan detail into the appropriate content workflows, balancing productivity with cost to ensure our content creation efforts are optimized to promote the best customer outcomes.

You Will

  • Participate in Category review meetings to understand product categories and work collaboratively to identify strategies for merchandising.
  • Partner with Channel Merchandising Manager to ensure the rich content direction for e-commerce publications is communicated in planning documents to production teams.
  • Provide support for multiple teams of merchandising professionals and communicate project/task status.
  • Be an expert in Grainger Merchandising Guidelines and how/when to use which content options to best serve end customer and category needs.
  • Understand costs and return on investment for all rich content types.
  • Determine workflow and manage the production of high-quality merchandising content from in-house production teams.

You Have

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience BA/BS or equivalent experience Required
  • 5+ years experience in a related field Required
  • Demonstrated ability to understand detail and take higher level strategic view.
  • Knowledge and application of business strategies; can evaluate costs/benefits of differing content strategies and make data-based recommendations.
  • Experience with project management systems/philosophy and basic reporting and metrics a plus.
