The Content Sales Consultant will partner with clients/prospects on their learning strategy to help identify the best content providers and corresponding libraries to support and extend their business objectives, ultimately leading to selling of Cornerstone Content products.
Cornerstone OnDemand (CSOD) has selected and partnered with the leading content providers (Workplace eLearning) from across the globe to bring our clients a variety of turn-key, affordable content options purchased as a selection of content from a partner or a subscription of content curated from a variety of our partners and Cornerstone's proprietary content.
We are seeking a Content Sales Consultant for CSOD's team focused on structuring eLearning solutions for clients that are driven and delivered through CSOD's learning and talent management systems.

The role will be a Learning & Development/eLearning subject matter expert (SME) on content to provide support and ensure the growth of our business through sales channels, to directly sell eLearning solutions to our clients/prospects and structure comprehensive solutions and services in support of Learning and Employee Development or business initiatives. In this role, you will diagnose client needs and structure the ideal learning solution from across a variety of content providers and pricing options.
The role of the Content Learning Consultant will also partner with field sales teams renewing and expanding current content clients to help identify the best content providers, subscriptions, and corresponding libraries to support and extend their business objectives.
In this role, you will...
- Become the "trusted advisor" or SME on all content solutions offered by CSOD
- Understand and articulate the value of eLearning solutions and pricing models across a variety of providers and pricing models
- Achieve quota by connecting client organizations to products, services, and solutions while expanding the use of product lines/offerings in your territory, including the renewal and expansion of our business with current content clients
- Provide guidance on a path to renew clients, and where applicable, move them from point solutions to our subscription model
- Deliver unparalleled client excellence through high-quality service and working to improve client satisfaction
- Interact with senior executives in target accounts to both build rapport, develop long-term relationships, and understand their key business/leadership development needs
- Understand and work with each client's unique business, performance, and cultural aspects; be able to develop a point of view from an outside-in perspective
- Partner with the overall sales organization educating on the breadth and depth of solutions offered by the Content organization, marketplace trends and adoption metrics
- Provide thought leadership through executable content strategies and partner with the sales organization to strategically grow business in targeted regions, industries, and client segments
- Successfully achieve all quota targets
- Maintain a high standard of client support and interactions as evidenced through consistent customer satisfaction
- Understand broader solutions offerings and identify broader opportunities by involving the right resources
- Partner across internal and affiliated business units to achieve the highest level of value
- Provide guidance on learning/development strategies and content programs that deliver business results.
You've got what it takes if you have...
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience as a Learning practitioner
- Minimum 6 - 8 years of demonstrated Learning & Development (including eLearning), professional services or software industry experience
- Understand the adult learning process and alternate learning methods, tools and technology
- 3-5 years' sales experience working with HR-related software, services and eLearning/Content providers
- Understand the sales process for successfully selling solutions or services into HR/L&D/Legal or other related fields
- Strong interpersonal and team skills required for client and internal interactions
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft applications, with the ability to quickly learn new systems
- Political savvy and ability to navigate the organization
- Ability to deal with senior executives on complex business issues
- Ability to independently handle many complex projects with an attention to detail
- Entrepreneurial spirit with exceptional critical thinking skills, problem solving skills and emotional maturity.
