Systems Development Engineer, Google Cloud VMware Engine

Minimum qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
• 3 years of experience in Scripting/Automation using Python or Go.
• 3 years of experience with systems administration, systems development engineering or similar roles.
• 3 years of experience with Networking or Network Troubleshooting.

Preferred qualifications:

• 
  Experience in configuration management tools and automation efforts with technical troubleshooting and performance tuning skills.

Responsibilities

• Understand various aspects of the service, including the features and workloads it supports.
• Work on specific projects in critical areas like monitoring, integration testing, storage, networking, and production support.
• Lead projects across various teams and external vendors, delivering them end-to-end. This includes gathering requirements, architecting solutions, designing, implementing, and testing.
• Implement new Google Cloud capabilities and changes in partnership with development teams.
• Participate in a rotating on-call schedule for customer escalation support.
