Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 2 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages, or 1 year of experience with an advanced degree.
- 2 years of experience with data structures or algorithms in either an academic or industry setting.
- Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or related technical fields.
- 2 years of experience building and developing large-scale infrastructure, distributed systems, or networks.
- Experience developing accessible technologies.
- Experience with compute technologies, storage, or hardware architecture.

Responsibilities
- Work independently in a technical and growing organization that is navigating a space that is critical, and sensitive.
- Plan and execute infrastructure changes that help Google Photos continue to lead the way in counter-abuse practices (e.g., building new APIs, writing new business logic, and changing our databases.).
- Foster a collaborative partnership with fellow engineers and leaders in Mountain View, Los Angeles, Sydney, and Bengaluru as well as with other teams across Google Photos and Google One to build trusted and trustworthy platforms.
- Ensure that Google Photos develops systems that allow the product to protect users and the business from illegal content, social engineering, and costly abuse.
- Ensure that Google One develops systems that allow the product to protect the business from fraud and costly abuse.
