Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 5 years of experience in program or project management.
- 5 years of experience in people management.
- Experience using or administering one of the legal hold platforms on the market.
- Experience applying and managing data preservation in Google Vault.
- Experience working with internal and external legal counsel.
- Knowledge of the end-to-end Electronic Discovery Reference Model (EDRM) and legal hold and data preservation best practices.
- Proficient in developing and applying quality control procedures and attention to detail.
- Ability to adapt communication style for technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to adapt quickly and work in a fast-changing environment.

The Discovery and Information Governance team at Google is dedicated to advising the company on a wide variety of legal issues relating to retention, preservation, and discovery best practices.
In this role, you will ensure Google's discovery and information governance policies and practices are scalable and defensible. You will work to proactively identify and prepare for emerging tests in the discovery legal and information governance landscape.The US base salary range for this full-time position is $129,000-$191,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities
- Manage Google's legal hold program, including administration of the issuance, tracking and release of legal hold notices. Drive process improvement efforts to enhance existing workflows and templates, capitalize on new system functionality, or address new preservation requirements
- Manage the overview of project goals and deliverables related to Google's legal hold program, and use the roadmap to manage stakeholder expectations, and to communicate plans and coordinate resources.
- Oversee custodian interview surveys program to inform additional data preservation or collection activities.
- Monitor data preservation workflows in Google Vault and help facilitate preservation requests with other key repositories / IT support teams. Manage reporting and metrics workstreams to monitor open tasks, ensure compliance to standard processes, and report on trends in activity.
- Lead a team of individuals, set and communicate team priorities that support organizational goals.
