Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 1 year of experience in program management.
  • Experience in Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) management, and managing EHS compliance for industrial facilities.
  • Ability to communicate in Finnish fluently in order to communicate with local authorities on regulatory topics.
Preferred qualifications:
  • Certification in BCSP, NEBOSH, or equivalent certification.
  • Experience of Finnish Environmental and Occupational health and safety (OHS) legislation.
  • Experience of industrial processes and environment.
  • Ability to prepare and submit Environmental (Env), OHS etc reports to the Finnish authorities.
  • Excellent project management, written and verbal communication skills.

As a Program Manager at Google, you'll lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish - working with stakeholders to plan requirements, manage project schedules, identify risks, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. Your projects will often span offices, time zones, and hemispheres. It's your job to coordinate the players and keep them up to date on progress and deadlines.

Responsibilities

  • Manage Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) programs separatelyto ensure a safe and compliant workplace and a focus on continuous improvement.
  • Maintain environmental permits/programs to ensure compliance with all applicable regulations. Monitor and track program performance, identify areas for improvement and implement corrective action plans together with the EHS Team.
  • Support the implementation and active maintenance of the site's ISO 14001 and any other certification and management systems.
  • Perform a regular field audits 'Safety Walks', Support Stakeholders in a risk assessment process.
  • Meet regularly with stakeholders (e.g., Operational Leadership to
    communicate on performance and requirements). Build trusted relationships with program stakeholders, including managing expectations of program stakeholders and ensuring they have the insights they need to make effective decisions.
