Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 3 years of experience in product management or related technical role.
  • 1 year of experience taking technical products from conception to launch.
Preferred qualifications:
  • Master's degree in Technology, or in a Business related field.
  • 2 years of experience working cross-functionally with engineering, UX/UI, sales finance, and other stakeholders.
  • 2 years of experience in a role preparing and delivering technical presentations to executive leadership.
  • 1 year of experience in software development or engineering.
  • Experience in developing consumer software products in the mobile space, with knowledge of user acquisition and retention.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, and collaboration skills.

Our team works closely with creative engineers, designers, marketers, etc. to help design and develop technologies that improve access to the world's information. We're responsible for guiding products throughout the execution cycle, focusing specifically on analyzing, positioning, packaging, promoting, and tailoring our solutions to our users.

In this role, you will drive strategy and execution on key onboarding and retention tools for Pixel. You will have the opportunity to drive innovative ways to increase user engagement, satisfaction and retention. You will be elevating the product experience with a user-centered approach and product narrative.

You will be leading feature launches within the Pixel onboarding experience and internal tools for quality and productivity, improving both functionally, and usability-wise to boost engagement. The customer journey for every new Pixel owner involves onboarding, it begins with the purchase decision, passes through out-of-the-box setup and continues with data migration.

This role involves collaborating with Android platform partners, and working with Google product areas to deliver stepwise changes in the way customers experience their new Pixel for the first time.

The Google Pixel team focuses on designing and delivering the world's most helpful mobile experience. The team works on shaping the future of Pixel devices and services through some of the most advanced designs, techniques, products, and experiences in consumer electronics. This includes bringing together the best of Google's software and hardware to build global smartphones and create transformative experiences for users across the world.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the planning, definition and execution of area product roadmap.
  • Validate the market size and opportunity to focus on customer happiness, feasibility and maximum impact in the market landscape.
  • Articulate product goals in a way that captures attention and compels others to drive action, and navigate obstacles and competing priorities.
  • Deliver internal and consumer-facing feature launches by collaborating with partner teams including Engineering, Program Managers (PgM), User Experience (UX), Marketing and support.
  • Collaborate with Google and Pixel product teams to inspire people to switch and stay.
