Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 2 years of experience working in an online content moderation role or within a legal operations environment.
- Experience with legal principles related to trademark, privacy, defamation, and online content regulations.
- Experience working with internet technologies and related policy and regulatory environments.
- Experience in content moderation.
- Experience in support operations.
- Experience with SQL and spreadsheets.
- Ability to communicate in English and other languages (e.g., Spanish, Portuguese, Turkish or Arabic) fluently to support interactions with local stakeholders.

As a Legal Policy Specialist, you will work on tasks within the scope of a policy project that has meaningful impact with direct supervision. You will address day-to-day policy issues and develop an understanding of policy development and implementation. You will also engage in community contributions to improve our culture and operations.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $69,000-$104,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities
- Manage removal requests relating to various legal issues, including trademark, privacy, defamation, court orders, and requests from law enforcement and government agencies.
- Address internal and external inquiries about YouTube's legal removal processes.
- Collaborate within a team to enhance processes, improve operational quality, and increase scalability.
Contribute to developing educational materials and designing new workflows to align with the strategic goals of the business. Review graphic, controversial, or offensive video content.- Be available for occasional remunerated on-call coverage during the weekend.
