Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 2 years of experience in data analytics, Trust and Safety, policy, cybersecurity, or related fields.
- Experience working with an array of cross-functional stakeholders such as policy, operations, engineering and product management.
- Experience using data and technology to solve business challenges.
- Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills with attention to detail in an ever-changing environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to translate issues into simple, clear, concise language.
- Excellent leadership, organisation, and teamwork skills.

Trust & Safety team members are tasked with identifying and taking on the biggest problems that challenge the safety and integrity of our products. This role works with sensitive content or situations and may be exposed to graphic, controversial, or upsetting topics or content.
Responsibilities
- Oversee a Google Ads "expert rater" operation to ensure the quality decisions are passed in model training and human review operations. This includes arbitrating and auditing expert rater decisions at scale, and up-levelling expert raters on Google Ads policies.
- Identify and manage gaps in the existing policy framework uncovered or flagged by the expert rater operation. Work with policy specialist teams to develop and influence scalable solutions that improve both user protection and customer (advertiser) experience.
- Foster collaboration between the expert rater operation and policy, operations and engineering teams, in order to drive operational excellence and unlock novel automated enforcement solutions.
