Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 2 years of experience in advertising, consultative sales, business development, online media environment, or marketing role.
  • Ability to communicate in English and Japanese fluently in order to interact with internal and external stakeholders.
Preferred qualifications:
  • Experience in online ad sales, business-development, marketing, or consulting sales.
  • Experience in Google Ads account management.
  • Excellent leadership, organization, communication, and teamwork skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills.

As an Account Manager on the Emerging Business team, you will develop and manage relationships directly with key advertisers in Japan. You will be an advisor and consultant, as well as an advocate for clients within Google. You will grow existing business, develop and win new business with key global and domestic clients, and support your team with account and market knowledge and other collateral.

Our Large Customer Sales teams partner closely with many of the world's biggest advertisers and agencies to develop digital solutions that build businesses and brands. We enjoy a bird's eye view on the massive transformation occurring as advertising shifts to mobile and online platforms. We're uniquely situated to help shape how companies grow their businesses in the digital age. We advise clients on Google's broad range of products across search, video and mobile to help them connect instantly and seamlessly with their audiences.

Responsibilities

  • Be a trusted business partner for client marketing solutions.
  • Provide excellent customer service to Google's advertisers, identify, and solve client problems proactively and creatively.
  • Learn and work with Google's ongoing development of advertiser products to optimize client campaign results.
  • Optimize Google ads in order to maximize results for advertisers.
  • Leverage resources, including optimization, marketing, and technical support. Identify opportunities to increase advertiser performance and investment.
