GLAUKOS SR. MANAGER GLOBAL LOGISTICS & DISTRIBUTION
How will you make an impact?
This position is responsible for working with Clinical, Operations, Sales and Planning to lead the Global logistics and distribution function. This position will develop and lead Glaukos global transportation and distribution, policies, business practices, and programs to support the short and long-term business needs for Glaukos. This role will support the development of strategies for the global logistics and distribution team.
This position is also responsible for managing inventory levels by supervising Receiving, Warehousing and Shipping functions.
What will you do?
- Lead global clinical and commercial logistics operations to qualify and manage domestic and international shipments of raw materials, active pharmaceutical ingredients (API), drug product, and finished goods - while ensuring that all quality and regulatory requirements are met.
- Manage Glaukos Receiving, Warehousing and Shipping departments. Streamline current processes and implement new processes, technologies as needed.
- Manage all aspects of Third-Party Logistics (3PL) and Distributor's operations while working closely with Finance, Commercial, IT and Quality teams to ensure accurate reporting.
- Lead or collaborate in selecting and setting up new 3PLs / Distributors or Glaukos subsidiaries as needed.
- Implement ERP / EDI integration at 3 PLs with Glaukos ERP system as appropriate.
- Partner with Quality to implement GDP compliant transportation model: Temperature, Chain of Custody, Supply Chain controls.
- Trade Compliance: Manage import/export processes and ensure compliance to regional/country level requirements.
- Supports clinical and commercial labeling and packaging activities, as required.
- Provide oversight and management of 3rd party logistics operations and measure key performance indicators (KPI) and service level agreements (SLA).
- Manages and coaches' staff to comply with internal procedures and career growth.
- Manages inventory management and physical counts.
- Responsible for meeting regulatory requirements for internal and 3PL activities needed across markets for distribution.

- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain/Operations or closely related discipline.
- 9 plus years' experience in global logistics, supply planning, finance reporting. Preferably 3 plus years in the pharma industry.
- International experience preferred.
- Experience with Cold Chain and Specialty Transportation products.
- Knowledge of device and pharma guidelines and regulations.
- Good communication and collaboration skills to work with cross functions teams, 3 PLs and Distributors to lead strategic projects.
- Strong supplier management and contract negotiation skills.
- Experience dealing with regulatory bodies for international shipments.
- Computer Literacy - Proficient (MS office products).
- Broad experience of GMP operations and a proven track record of successfully leading and contributing to cross-functional teams.
- Experienced professional working independently and managing / coaching others. 2 plus years of previous people management experience.
- ISM/ASCM certifications preferred.
