The Project Manager, Senior Facilities Engineer II is responsible for overseeing the design, construction, maintenance, and optimization of our facilities. A strong background in engineering, project management, and facilities operations, with the ability to ensure the effective and efficient functioning of our physical infrastructure is essential for successful performance in this job.
What will you do?
Facilities Planning and Design:
- Department SME for planning, design, and layout of facilities to meet organizational requirements and standards.
- Collaborate with architects, contractors, and engineering teams to ensure optimal facility design.
- Manage contractors, vendors, and internal stakeholders to execute projects successfully.

- Oversee the maintenance and day-to-day operations of facilities, including mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems.
- Implement preventive maintenance programs to ensure the reliability of critical systems.
- Develop and implement strategies to enhance energy efficiency and sustainability in facility operations.
- Identify and implement initiatives to reduce environmental impact.
- Owning the facilities complies with local, state, and federal regulations, codes, and safety standards.
- Work with regulatory agencies to obtain necessary permits and approvals.
- Develop and manage budgets for facility projects, maintenance, and operations.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and implement measures to optimize spending.
- Analyze space utilization and plan for future space needs based on organizational growth and requirements.
- Optimize the layout of workspaces for efficiency and functionality.
- Manage relationships with external vendors, service providers, and contractors.
How will you get here?
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Facilities Management, or a related field. Master's degree is a plus.
- 8-12 years of related experience
- Proficiency in facilities engineering, project management, and knowledge of building systems.
- Familiarity with computer-aided design (CAD) software.
- In-depth understanding of local, state, and federal regulations related to facilities management.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate technical information to diverse audiences.
