Job Description
This position in the Treasury Team is part of the GE Vernova Trade Finance Center of Excellence (COE).
GE Vernova Trade Finance COE is a team of skilled knowledge workers whose mission is to provide the organization their competencies and the resources for best practices around Trade Finance.
GE Vernova Trade Finance COE works cross multi-businesses and provides support to them during the tender phase in the detection of risks on both contract and trade finance instrument's wording and in recommending proper mitigations. GE Vernova Trade Finance COE is responsible for the validation of the completeness and the accuracy of the requests of trade finance instruments in favor of the customers coming from the Businesses and their compliance with the GE Vernova Trade Finance policy and other applicable regulations.

Treasury Trade Finance COE manager closely works with GE Vernova HQ Treasury Functions, ensuring decisions are made and in line with overall company policies and objectives on banking partnership, risk triggers and overall systems. He/she also works closely to ITO and OTR functions and provides analysis to GE Vernova businesses CFOs and Senior Finance leaders.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Support Commercial team by providing recommendations on both contract and trade finance instrument's wording during the tender phase.
- Responsible for the review and the approval of trade finance instruments on the GE Vernova e-procurement tool (ALOC).
- Ensure compliance of the trade finance instruments issued on behalf of the Businesses with GE Vernova Trade Finance Policy.
- Provide training on Trade Finance especially to new ALOC Biz users.
- Educate Biz on forbidden terms and Policy "no-go" as well as on their mitigation.
- Provide recommendations for the implementation of ALOC enhancements and support on the relevant testing.
- Lead BUs to the closure of local credit lines and aged instruments no longer needed.
- Lead initiatives for the credit capacity optimization and ALOC data quality.
- Support Internal and External Audit as well as the Controllership team.
- Prepare trade finance reporting and support treasury reviews with Biz CFOs and Senior Finance Leaders.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Business, or related field.
- Experience: some experience working in global business environment with understanding of global process and transactional flows.
Desired Characteristics:
- Trade Finance and/or Commercial Finance background.
- Strong analytical and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication skills: experience working across multiple levels, functions and regions; able to clearly communicate trade finance technical and legal features in an "easy to understand" manner.
- Ability to proactively identify innovative ideas to improve and simplify processes.
- Integrity: Accepting and adhering to high moral, ethical, and personal values in decisions, communications, actions, and when dealing with others.
- English fluent.
