Role Summary/Purpose

This position is will support the governance and risk management team for the GE Vernova enterprise. This includes assisting with the development, implementation, and monitoring of governance policies and risk management strategies.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Assist with the development and implementation of governance policies and procedures
  • Support the development and maintenance of the organization's risk management framework
  • Conduct risk assessments to identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies
  • Review and analyze risk reports and data to identify trends and areas for improvement
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure effective governance practices and risk management strategies

  • Provide training and guidance to employees on governance and risk management matters
  • Support internal and external audits and risk assessments
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of governance practices and risk management principles
  • Prepare reports for management on governance and risk management issues and risk assessments

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree, or equivalent knowledge or experience in Information Technology, Computer Science or a STEM related field
  • Strong experience in Information Technology and or engineering
  • Strong experience in Cyber Security

Desired Characteristics

  • IT cybersecurity and/or risk management certifications
  • Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements and industry standards
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills - communicates in a clear and succinct manner, anticipates obstacles and develops plans to resolve
  • Ability to work in a dynamic, fast paced environment with limited direction


  • Change oriented - actively defines process improvements, champions and drive change initiatives, confronts difficult circumstances in creative ways, balances multiple and competing priorities and executes accordingly
