Job Description Summary

As part of a global organization in Commercial Operations the Customer Solution Engineering team are responsible to communicate Grid Software's value to customers and potential customers through the generation of differentiated proposals for new systems, upgrades and additional services. Responsible for developing/utilizing tools, processes and standard work packages, and through the application and continuous practice of Lean to improve the organizations efficiency, accuracy, and customer focus. Drive improved integration with Sales/Pre-Sales, and with Project Delivery, at the transition and handover points, to ensure great commercial strategies are reflected in proposals, and to ensure that winning proposals can be executed efficiently by the Project Delivery organization for an improved customer experience. Will be part of a team of SMEs in Project Delivery and Project Management covering opportunities in the APAC region.

Job Description

In this role, you will:

  • Be part of an organization that is a key function for the success of GE Vernova's Grid Software business. This organization is responsible for differentiating GEV from competitors, driving wins in competitive markets, and ensuring existing customers are delighted with commercial responsiveness and technical solutions.
  • Be a key SME in project delivery methodology, estimating effort, and/or execution in the electrical utility industry with specific knowledge of SCADA / EMS / ADMS software project delivery.
  • Participate in a team with the passion to compete and that celebrates successes often and improves every day.
  • Work closely with Commercial Managers, Sales Managers, Product Managers and Services Delivery team to drive wins in the market.
  • Stay current with project delivery methodologies and PMO best practices, feeding back lessons learned from project delivery team in to the standard work templates and process.
  • Manage aspects of the customer specification review and response related to project / solution delivery, quality, configuration management, proposal development, and contribute to SOW creation for complex software sales and service agreements. Ensure the correct estimates and schedules are put in place (through work with other SME's on the team) such that the Project Delivery team can execute effectively, driving a positive customer experience.
  • Improve tools used to respond to RFPs to improve efficiency and accuracy.
  • Apply Lean principles on a daily basis and leveraging the power of Lean to identify and solve problems and continuously improve the way we work.
  • Participate in Customer negotiations from both functional/technical and commercial perspectives.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree (preferably Engineering) or equivalent from an accredited college or university and a minimum of 7 years of technical or project management experience.
  • Experienced in Project Delivery as either Project Manager or Delivery Manager for Asset Control solutions, specifically SCADA / EMS / ADMS, with Agile, PMBOK or PRINCE2 experience.

Eligibility Requirements: (Country Specific)

  • Legal authorization to work in Indonesia or India is required. We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, now or in the future, for this job.
  • Must be willing to travel as this is a Customer facing role.

Desired Characteristics:

  • Knowledge of / background in software and expertise in project delivery of GE's Asset Control products are highly desirable. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the project estimates, schedule and risk mitigation for project delivery are covered as part of proposal generation activities, and are completed within the deal creation process guidelines, and you will demonstrate accountability for functional, business, and broad company objectives.
  • Prior experience in software development or implementation and project delivery.
  • Strong project management skills.
  • Outstanding verbal, written, and presentation skills in English and Indonesian (Bahasa Indonesia).
  • Highly organized, driven self-starter with ability to operate independently.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and decision-making ability.
  • Able to thrive in a matrix organization.
