We have an exciting opportunity within our company for a Software Support Engineer specializing in Electrical Transmission Network Management Systems. Join our dynamic and innovative team, where you'll play a pivotal role in ensuring sustained customer success and growth throughout the post-sales customer lifecycle. Your duties will encompass various aspects such as training, professional services, technical support, renewals, outcome attainment, retention, expansion, and customer advocacy, all with a strong emphasis on digital solutions. You'll maintain accountability for the quality of your work, operating under direct supervision and prescribed guidelines, while also contributing to local operations planning and execution within your technical discipline. Although you'll have some autonomy, your actions will primarily adhere to established policies and review processes.

Day-to-day:

  • Investigate and resolve issues spanning various aspects of our software solutions, including configuration, user interface, network and communication connectivity, performance, cloud and on-premise interoperability, data management, visualization, analytics, machine monitoring, hardware infrastructure, and integration with enterprise systems.
  • Develop a foundational understanding of your professional discipline, which may encompass specialized support roles or technical expertise across a broad spectrum.
  • Apply general business knowledge acquired through education or prior experience, recognizing how your team's efforts contribute to the organization's objectives.
  • Resolve issues using established procedures, leveraging your system knowledge, and seeking guidance from supervisors or senior team members when necessary.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to address challenges, build strong customer relationships, and serve as a liaison between customers and internal stakeholders, facilitating effective communication and knowledge exchange.
  • Participate in on-call rotations, typically for one week per month, and perform on-site work at our Nydalen, Oslo location. Partial remote work is feasible within a one-hour driving distance, with up to 20% flexibility for working from home.

Required Qualifications:

  • Advanced experience in Services & Digital Implementation Services.
  • Equivalent knowledge to a master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Software, or related fields from an accredited institution, or a high school diploma with a minimum of six years of relevant experience.
  • Proficiency in C++ at a medium level.
  • Fluency in English (both written and verbal); proficiency in Norwegian is highly valued.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in programming and software development, with familiarity in languages such as JAVA, Perl, or Python.
  • Knowledge of RDBMS like Oracle, PostGreSQL, or SQL Server.
  • Familiarity with operating systems such as Windows Server and Linux REDHAT.
  • Experience with web applications like JBOSS, Weblogic, Apache, and Internet Explorer.
  • State estimation, Powerflow, Stability Analysis.
  • SCADA, Communication protocols 104,101,ICCP.
  • Familiarity with Agile and ITIL methodologies.
  • Proficiency in tools like ServiceNow, Jira, and Git.

This role involves work for customers who manage critical infrastructure; based on customer requirements it will be necessary to carry out background checks and suitability assessments as part of the hiring process.
