Job Summary: This role will be accountable for production activities in the disassembly + assembly & test areas across 3 production buildings on-site. The selected candidate will be accountable for the safety, quality, delivery, cost, and people of ~200 shop resources made up of both full-time & contracted work force. The role will have multiple level of leadership under the selected candidate to enable personnel support while reaching target to exceed customer expectations.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Enable an experienced workforce with a clear training and development plan that leverages the entire population of employees in each domain.
  • Develop clear goals on a shift-by-shift basis for the production employees, production leaders, and Operations Leaders to own at each level of the organization, while providing resources or problem-solving strategies to overcome misses against targets.
  • Support strategy of capital investments to support sustainability, growth, and new product/process development while converting to production.
  • Leads and develops processes to support the Level IV service shop, in key areas of disassembly, inspection, assembly & test in a high-volume format across the 3 core product lines of LM2500, LM6000, and LMS 100
  • Implements a cross-training and cross pollination environment for the resource pool to better support customer needs while improving productivity, efficiency, and predictability.
  • Interprets internal and external business challenges and recommends best practices to improve products, processes, or services. Utilizes understanding of industry trends to inform decision making process.

Required Qualifications

  • A minimum of 8 years of shop operations leadership in manufacturing or services environments
  • A Bachelor of Science degree with a discipline in Engineering or Business Management
  • Strong analytical, interpersonal, and leadership skills with a proven track record to leverage data to drive decision making
  • Ability to articulate up in the organization and within direct organization to resolve systemic or anomaly events.

Desired Characteristics

  • Master's degree in an engineering domain
  • MBA
  • Lean methodology training/certification
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills in PowerPoint, excel, etc.
