Job Description Summary

The Site Manager is a strategic role based out of site location and will be responsible for building long term relationship with customers and delivering qualitative growth for Wind Energy Services business by managing contractual and transactional customer O&M sites.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • • This role demands highly customer focused approach to build long term relationship with customers designated in the geographic region to deliver business objectives from long term operation and maintenance services as well as from transaction customers having wind farms in the region. In this role you will utilize your experience or expertise to solve problems, develop and execute objectives for self and others, and have the ability to effect short-term and long-term business goals.
  • Must be capable of efficient operating and handling large customer site having 100+ WTG, also skilled to manage big team with mix of on role and contractor employees.

• Strong functional knowledge (Wind) in Operation and maintenance best industry practices, planning, organizing, coordinating, executing and controlling the wind farm activities, productivity improvements, operational excellence in outage management, parts/inventory management, trouble shootings, fault/data analytics', warranty administration etc.
  • Owns fulfillment of services to customers for timely and satisfactory resolutions of concerns covering a wide variety of support services to accomplish business operating plan.
  • Lead field service team located at wind project sites consisting of Field Engineers and Service Technicians. Coach / advise to site team to deliver Services exceeding Customer Satisfaction and driving profitable growth for designated customers.
  • Advocate/Drive compliance to EHS and Quality.
  • Partner with product service / engineering teams to obtain resolutions on technical issues, RCA/Investigation matters, warranty liquidations.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams like Sales, Commercial Operations, Sourcing, Finance, HR to meet the deliverables.
  • Role demands reasonable understanding of Services Contract & Ensuring Contract compliances.
    • Responsible for development of talent pipeline through effective mentoring of team members.
  • • Responsible for seamless handover from Projects to Services, driving closure of punch list items and warranty resolutions.
    • Responsible for maintaining documentation (O&M, performance, correspondences, warranty, financials etc.), timely and accurately related each of the designated customer sites.
    • Develop/Administer sub-contractors to support field services.
    • Lead a team and responsible for people development, in co-ordination with HR, conduct performance reviews, identify training and talent development needs, prepare career development plan, provide inputs to enhance knowledge and skills, promote team spirit, recommend appropriate rewards to recognize efficient working of the people or team.

  • Required Qualifications

    • • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma/GED with Wind service role and around 8-10 years of industry experience in power sector (preferably wind)
      • Proficient in Computer applications ERP, MS Office, Emails etc.
      • Position will be based out of Site location in Kutch, Gujarat.

    • Strong oral and written communication skills. Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems. Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs. Established project management skills.
