GSI market segments focus on High-Voltage Direct Current (HVDC), Alternating Current Systems (ACS), Flexible Alternating Current Transmission Systems (FACTS), and Services.
Our Service organization is expanding nationally and in doing so as has growth role for a Senior Sales Specialist.

Roles & Responsibilities:
- Support the inquiry to order (ITO) process in response to customer requests for quotes.
- Specific focus on Service Agreements
- Transactional Opportunities
- Across all business lines; ACS, HVDC, FACTS
- Utilize SFDC/SPEAK4GE for opportunity creation and management of the opportunity through the commercial process.
- Establishment of campaigns within SFDC/SPEAK4GE.
- Maintain business KPIs on forecasting and response times on inquiries.
- Drive winning proposal strategy and process from request (RFQ) thru proposal and order.
- Lead established actions with ley stakeholders: sourcing, engineering, logistics, operations, EHS, and external partners.
- Lead weekly ITO reviews with key stakeholders.
- Development and tendering of offers in response to customer RFQs.
- Drive winning proposal strategy and process from request (RFQ) thru proposal and order. Review proposals and costing, as prepared by the Tendering Team, to ensure the key value proposition is presented to the customer and the pricing is in line with customer expectations and market price.
- Prospect and qualify new sales leads on target market segments such as utility, industrial and renewable market, to develop new business leads.
- Manage the relationship with the internal and external partners. Review key initiatives to increase effectiveness and where necessary conduct/co-ordinate product training and application support to partners.
- Meet and/or exceed commercial order intake targets set for the covered region.
- Support customers meetings at remote locations across North America.
- Monthly coordination meetings at designated facilities in the U.S. or Canada.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in related services; i.e., sales, field services, application engineering, and/or marketing, within utility market and or large industrial organization.
Desired Characteristics:
- Knowledge of high-voltage systems in the areas of High Voltage Direct Current (HVDC) power systems, Flexible AC Transmission Systems (FACTS), Conventional AC substations.
- Good understanding of equipment present in high-voltage systems.
- GIS & AIS Switchgear, Power Transformers, controls, auxiliary systems
- Willingness to travel for business trips in the area of activity
- Proven experience in a services, sales and marketing roles with multi-million-dollar budgets & performance-based Service contracts from industrial/utility/generation/renewable market experience.
- Demonstrated knowledge of high-voltage systems in the areas of High Voltage Direct Current (HVDC) power systems, Flexible AC Transmission Systems (FACTS), and Conventional AC substations.
- Proficient understanding of equipment present in high-voltage systems, GIS & AIS Switchgear, Power Transformers, controls, and auxiliary systems
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to build and maintain relationships with a range of internal and external stakeholders, gain acceptance and negotiate successful outcomes with customers.
- Proven leadership of teams with members based in multiple locations.
- Demonstrated abilities to research and analyze data in order to develop strategic and local sales opportunities and budgets.
