As a member of the Marketing team within the Gas Power Product Management organization, you will be an active contributor to the success of the team by owning the Product Marketing strategy aligned to a Business Line; you will be consolidating marketplace & customer insights to guide product development, strategic decision-making, and long term business planning.

Job Description

What you'll do

  • Develop and own the marketing strategy for Gas Power products (Heavy Duty Gas Turbines, Steam Turbines, Generators, HRSGs) for new units and/or services
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, power & electricity market insights, marketplace leading indicators and forecasts relevant to the business; liaise with regional marketing experts and "connect the dots" globally
  • Gather Voice of Customer (VOC) insights, understand customer requirements and utilize data to inform on product and/or sales strategies providing a differentiated value proposition
  • Perform segmentation analyses considering customer values, behaviors, and needs. Perform market mapping & targeting; capture emerging trends in relevant segments and develop corresponding strategies
  • Document marketplace requirements in support of new product development, summarizing marketplace insights, segmentation, requirements identification, and VOC
  • Provide relevant marketplace inputs feeding into new product business cases and capital allocation decisions
  • Strategically partner with Product Managers throughout the product development phase
  • Define and lead marketing campaigns, develop and maintain internal/external collateral (e.g. fact sheets, customer presentations, catalogs, webinars, webpages)
  • Provide marketplace context, data, and guidance in support of operational decision-making as well as longer term product positioning & strategy
  • Participate in continuous process improvement initiatives related to the Marketing work scope

What you'll bring (Basic Qualifications)

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, business-related discipline, or engineering from an accredited college or university, or equivalent knowledge/experience
  • Significant experience in the Power industry
  • Significant experience in a marketing, product management, or commercial role

  • Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs; established project management skills

For U.S. based candidates only, for purposes of complying with U.S. pay transparency requirements, the base pay range for this position is $128,600 - $171,400 USD Annual.

The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate's experience, education, and skill set. This Senior Professional Band position is also eligible for a variable incentive bonus of 15%.

*The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas.
