Job Description Summary

GE Vernova is committed to helping the world achieve its decarbonization goals. As the European Partnerships Manager (m/f/d) for decarbonization within Gas Power business, you will be instrumental in driving GE's commitment to sustainable energy solutions across Europe. You will develop and nurture strategic partnerships that focus on and accelerate the decarbonization of gas turbines. Your role will involve advocacy efforts, collaboration with technological and industrial partners, and alignment with European environmental standards and policies. Also support the global partnership team and regions in the decarbonization efforts.

Strategic Partnership Development:

  • Identify, develop, and manage strategic partnerships with key stakeholders including technology providers, industry groups, and regulatory bodies to support the decarbonization of gas turbines
  • Negotiate and secure partnerships that align with GEV's strategic objectives for sustainable energy solutions.

Market Analysis and Strategy Implementation:

  • Conduct comprehensive market analysis to identify trends, challenges, and opportunities in the gas turbine and energy sectors within Europe.
  • Implement tailored strategies that address regional market specifics and regulatory environments to enhance GE's market position and advocacy efforts.

Advocacy and Influence:

  • Represent GE in key industry forums, conferences, and policy discussions, advocating for policies and practices that facilitate the transition to sustainable energy.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with governmental and legislative bodies to influence and shape environmental policies and regulations.

Project Management and Execution:

  • Lead cross-functional teams to ensure successful execution of partnership projects from inception through completion.
  • Monitor project progress, ensuring adherence to timelines, budget, and scope, and report on these metrics to senior leadership.
  • May lead functional teams or projects with minimal resource requirements, risk, and/or complexity. Communicates difficult concepts and may influence others' options on particular topics. May guide others to consider a different point of view.

Stakeholder Engagement:

  • Engage with internal stakeholders to align objectives and leverage company resources effectively.
  • Ensure continuous communication and collaboration across different levels of the organization and with external partners.

Sustainability Initiatives:

  • Drive initiatives that promote sustainability within GE and across partner networks.
  • Champion innovative approaches and technologies that lead to tangible reductions in carbon emissions from gas turbines.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, Environmental Science, Engineering, or related field or equivalent relevant experience.
  • Strong experience in either Services, Engineering, Product or Project Management in the power generation industry.
  • Extensive knowledge of European energy markets, regulatory environments, and sustainability practices.

  • Proven track record of developing strategic partnerships and managing complex projects in the energy sector.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in one or more European languages
